Hey Charlie baby 😊this is a beautiful presentation of this fried catfish it looks delicious nice and crunchy too. But I'm no fish lover or eater so I told my sister that one day I'm gonna make about 5 to 6 pcs of this well as spaghetti and coleslaw and collard greens and corn bread and I invited my twin sister dad, and brother over for dinner because I love to cook all from scratch and omgosh they went wild over that food. They say that was the best fried catfish EVER .. I was sooooooo happy because when I cook I know my recipes in my head I never sample my cooking which lot of people do.. so thanks a million Charlie baby for this catfish presentation 🤗.you deserves a hug for this one.. and I hope your city presents you with a cooking awards..so God bless you ..🙏💖💕💖💕🤗😊

I'm middle aged Charlie and I've been a fisherman since I was only three years old. My Dad took me with him and I got hooked big-time. I've also owned my own bassboat since May 1997 and go fishing at least twice a week when the seasons and weather permit. We have over 50 lakes, 2 rivers, countless creeks, ponds, and streams all within one hour driving distance in all 360 degree directions here in the Midwest. Catfish and bluegill (or as you call them Bream) are my favorites. I can eat fish at least once a week and never get tired of it. I know part of the secret to good catfish is the cornmeal and we always used peanut oil to fry in to give that extra sweet taste. I'll have to try your recipe sometime soon. You fry yours that same color that I like to cook mine to. Not too done, not too under-cooked.....just right! Thanks for the video Charlie! John kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jJ9ko6WdpprSZ4k.html

Wow! that's a good thing. I can count on my fingers how many times I went fishing. At least I went once in my life as a kid and once as an adult! That's a lot of water out there with 50 lakes omg. I have some peanut oil in my cabinet right now. Never used it yet lol. I'll get to it one day. That's how I like my catfish. Just right!

Oh yes Charlie, bluegill has the same kind of slightly sweet taste good catfish does. They are delicious if prepared correctly. It's a very common fish located in freshwater lakes, creeks and farm ponds. You'd like it if you like catfish and lake perch too. :) www.google.com/search?q=fried+bluegill+pics&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjYhfz50LnXAhUI7SYKHXXOA7MQ_AUICigB&biw=1280&bih=677#imgrc=_ John

Notice how mine is bigger than ALL of the ones in the links? LOL It was a monster as thick as a 2x4 and a tad over 10" long. The fillets were like pork-chops on that one. Probably the biggest one I caught in about 5 years time. They get even bigger too.....:) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluegill en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panfish

jack mehoff please don’t try out catfish The Most High told us not to eat it because it’s bad for our health. I’m not perfect & I’m still working on my eating habits & don’t want to be an hypocrite because I used to eat catfish before coming into the truth... but let’s all follow the Laws best as possible.. We can eat other fishes like the ones with scales & Fins but NOT the ones without it.. they are the vacuum cleaners of the rivers/oceans & are not meant to be eaten. Leviticus 11:9-12 KJV

Disha Lovely those were the eating rules in the law of Moses. When Christ was born the law of Moses no longer applied. That’s why Jews do not eat pork, because it is in the law of Moses and the Jews still practice the law of Moses. Christ centered religions do not practice the law of Moses. Meaning that like how it is now ok to eat pork it is now ok to eat bottom dwelling fish. Unless you are Jewish, then continue to practice what you believe

I'm a Cajun. This is a Great traditional recipe. You can try variations on all of the seasonings. If you are at the fishing pier & want to cook without all the fuss you can use the Quick Method: Coat the filet with yellow mustard and wipe off the excess with your fingers. Dredge in a seasoned fish fry and fry it. It's an awesome quick clean way to fry fish on the go without a lot of stuff.

Mia Culpa you got that right!!! All we’re missing are some hushpuppies, a big pile of fried taters, and a nice little slow cooker filled to the brim with white beans which are perfect for dipping those hushpuppies in, and finally some nice and mild green onions as we call em in KY or spring onions or scallions as others say. Now that’s a perfect fish fry!!!

Awesome recipe, Charlie!! Nothing like a good catfish fry. I have always loved catfish and so does my family. These looked delicious!!! We always use a cast iron skillet too. It seems to taste better when using one. Hope you have an awesome day!!!

Thank you Kimberly! It is always good to hear from you when I release every single video! I appreciate that very much! I like catfish but I don't eat it often. Oh no you didn't! That's pretty much how I fry catfish, except i omit the flour (next time I fry fish I'm going to add flour to my dry mixture). Hot sauce, two slices of bread, a side of coleslaw, and some fried potatoes and I'm good! That looks soooo delicious! Thanks

Yes I did Latte! Okay cool you use only cornmeal. That's what's up! I just eat my catfish plain with no tartar sauce, ketchup or hot sauce. I may give it a try soon with some hot sauce! Thanks for the compliments and you're welcome!

Some people pronounce herbs with the h (Martha Stewart), the French people don't pronounce the h. The British people pronounce valet as Valit. The French people pronounce it as Va'lay. I know people who pronounce pralines as pray-leens rather than prah'leens. So, if Charlie wants to say fillits I have no problem with it. Much ado about nothing.

Give it a try and start cooking homemade food! It'll save you a lot of money. Plus it'll last you a few days. Fast food can't do that. Once you purchase fast food you eat it and it's gone along with your money. Then when you get hungry again it's not like you can go to your fridge and get some cooked food to eat you gotta go out again and buy more fast foo and spend more money!
