In this video we go over the process of creating Potion of Mana Dice Rollers!
Click here to explore your creativity and get 2 free months of Premium Membership: skl.sh/rybonator
I've wanted to have a reason to make Mana Potions for a while now, and since I had some Health Potion Dice Rollers, I figured that this would be a decent way to create something similar! You can make each potion for about 3$ worth of materials per potion when you do things in bulk in case you were wanting to make some for yourself!
The alternate/home brew rules that I use for these potions are in relation to the dice sizes in the bottles. They use a d4, d6 and d8, and go from Potion of Mana, to Greater Potion of Mana, and Superior Potion of Mana respectively. You can roll the die inside the potions for spells slot restoration equal to the value that you roll. If you roll a 5 on the d6 Potion of Greater restoration, you get 5 spell slots back. That can be 5 first level spell slots, or 1 fifth level spell slot.
All and all, I am really proud of these, and I think they will be a fun addition to my table!
Thank you to Skill Share for sponsoring this video, and thank you to you all for not yelling at me for having a sponsor! ( Please don't :( ).

You can get an aged effect on paper fairly easily. Pre write whatever you want on the paper first in *waterproof* ink. Crumple up the paper into a ball and then open it out again. Lay it into a tray. Pour hot coffee or tea onto the paper, spread it around with a sponge, does not have to be totally even but try not to make any area substantially darker than others. Sprinkle a little instant coffee onto the still damp paper, this will cause the blooming effect you see on many old manuscripts. Using paper towels dab off all the liquid, dry sponge will work as well. Preheat your oven to its lowest setting, and then bake it until it is dried. Paper should start to curl at the edges when it is ready. There are other more effective ways, but that one is nice, simple, is doable with everyday products you will have in your kitchen, and is among the least time intensive.

You can buy iridescent, transparent mylar gift wrap from just about any store-- hobby places like Michaels or Hobby Lobby have it, but you can find it just as easily in the gift wrap section of Target or Walmart. This stuff comes on a giant roll like wrapping paper and it's amazing for stuff like this because you can just shnibble it up like these flakes, OR cut them into teeny thin strips like spaghetti, OR you can cut them into specific shapes with paper punches, OR you can cut sheets to fit whatever mold you want for whatever reason you want! It's fairly inexpensive and one roll will last about a thousand years. It's a great option if you don't want to drop $$$ on a little pot of already-flaked bits and don't mind putting in the elbow grease to make it yourself!

I like to make old looking paper with coffee. Crumple a sheet of paper, dip it in coffee for a bit and then let it dry. The creases absorb more color giving it a textured look. After they are dried you can rip or cut it to smaller pieces if you want and finally burn the edges. You could also swap the coffee for dyed water for other colors.

a less expensive option for people who can't get their hands on that glitter is fake snow from the dollar store, if you're making dice on a Budget. Might not be as epic of an effect, but it's definitely iridescent and is fairly small so it can fit in pipettes! Unfortunately it's only available around Christmas so that's a downfall :/

You CAN, but you have to be careful. It's really difficult to cast things with tiny parts that don't lay flat in some way, as they can get stuck in the resin. If I find a mini that I can give it a shot with, I will!

You should paint the little dice used as a pouring spout and put those in the bottle, so the potion part merges into the dice. The other half-filled/half-formed dice would only kind of be seen, like the dice are bubbling off the top. Plus, you would save resin.
