Started making dawless music last year and lots of your tipps can be applied here as well. Not all of course, I have a small setup, there is e.g. no sidechaining and my effects are limited but you show the genres in an analytic way, thats perfect and i learned how to translate my ideas into actual music. great tutorial! could you maybe do one where you show how to make nice little fx like percs, foley, etc. to add to the texture of the track? mind against has a lot of them in their tracks and i think it adds a lot of interest to the drum groove. would be of great help!

TunesYouNeed - Fresh mixes weekly abletons workflow looks a lot smoother and makes things like sampling and automation 10x easier, plus the native plugins and feature are great for this kinda music. I got fl and find doing techno and that kinda clunky but maybe that’s just me ! Hope this sorta helps

@@tunesyouneed-freshmixeswee1140 - I started with FL as it is easier, spent about a month learning it. Never really like the look of it. Took the ableton free trial and never look back. There really is no comparison between the two. Ableton is far cleaner and more advanced. Look at all of the Ableton beginners guide videos. It's easier than it first looks.

@@Aleksey2846 its probably because your most used to the one in Fl Studio if you want to feel comfortable with the Ableton piano role make sure to learn some shortcuts and how to use scales with fold...

I just clikced "0" (zero) on the keyboard. It makes velocity = 0 and turns of the note.

I think he turned up the mixer of the osc 1 during a cut in the video. The next time the plugin window is showing, the osc 1 volume is turned up.

@@paulvanb7437 Couple of things changed, look closely at 22:44, pitch has changed, it is transposed up to 0 from -12 (1 octave up), in the PAN section he is using LFO2 which you can also see configured in the module above, no vibrato, no glide, just closely compare all the switches :D
