Gemma Stafford Hi Gemma! I love your channel! Is is possible to use whole wheat flour, or oat flour or even chickpea flour for crazy dough? I'm trying to avoid processed flours. How would I have to change the recipe to make it work? Also for people that are new at baking can you explain how to avoid killing the yeast. I do not have a thermometer....

The best part about Bigger Bolder baking is the food is visually pleasing but also uses traditional baking style, recipes and doesn't use any kind of shortcuts its all homemade. I always learn something about baking when i watch these videos :)

I made naan with half the dough and nutella bread with the other half. Both were fantastic!! Its amazing that 2 different things are made from same dough. Thank you Jemma !

I used to love making pretzels... My favorite part was forming them. Instead of slowly twisting, I got really good at whipping the loop around to make the twist! So fun 😁

I just made these. The dough is super simple, and they turned out fantastic! I did regular, garlic/basil, and cinnamon sugar and they were all delicious.

Gemma I have turned your simple and ausumn soda Irish bread to cloud nine by adding Indian touch I added grated garlic, chillie flakes, oregano and a few more seasonings such as a packet of magic masala (an Indian spice ) and baked it it was superb and turn out great. thanks dear for the recipe, my whole family is thanking you for sharing such an ausumn recipe. love from India 🇮🇳

This lock down has been a try outs in cooking and baking; wanted to try bread at home and found your video on sour dough bread and then the journey of baking started.. love trying out all of your breads. For sure will try pretzels from crazy dough

Wow! I tried to make Pretzels a while ago, and the dough was a little bit messy... but this one looks good and easy to handle! Thanks for sharing!

Give this a try Irene. Just add sufficient liquid to bring the dough together, do not over wet it :)

I definitely want to try this recipe, because I am crazy about soft pretzels. But I've never dipped them in mustard, I use cheese dip. It's Yumazing!! 👍

Wow, I didn't know that you needed to scald them in boiling water before baking! Just like bagels! New info for every video I watch!

No don't use boiling water😂, use simmering water instead cause boiling water could kill the yeast when you bake it so the pretzel will not rise (it'll expand but not airy).

Gemma I love that pretzels that sell in shopping malls but instead savory, they are sweet. fried/baked deep in butter after sprinkled with a lot of cinnamon and sugar! Any chance to make them as well !! ❤️

You can do this! When they are baked and still hot you can brush with butter, and dip in cinnamon sugar. I generally do not fry food, for health and safety reasons :)

it is a slight rich dough, but you can try this. add a littel honey to the soda/water bath too for a nice finish. add toppings of your choice :)

Hi Gemma, great video. If you were using frozen crazy dough, what would be the procedure for prepping dough for pretzels? Or out of the fridge on day 3?

Gaye Hill, frozen dough defrosts really quickly. as soon as it is soft, shape it, simmer it, and bake! :)
