@@RyanKingArt Jo that's what I meant too. Well, that with my English is such a thing. Maybe I am too old. But I have times to this topic a question. How can I save the material then? And where do I save it then. As .blend or what? So that I can use it every time, and not every time must make new. I have already made some materials. From you and from others on KZfaq. When I need them I always make it again.

for anyone viewing this video around this time with blender 3.3 or up u may not have a mix rgb but instead a mix color node u can also just hold ctrl and shit then right click and drag to get that node top pop up 2:42
@RyanKingArt
@RyanKingArt Жыл бұрын
Yes, I made a video specifically about the Mix Node: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n5p3dKup2aqlo58.html In the new Blender update of 3.4, they changed the Mix RGB node, to just the Mix Node. So just add the mix node, and change the Float option, to Color. Then you can use it just like the mix RGB node.

@@RyanKingArt I love it. XD Think you could try your hands at making a pearlescent procedural material tutorial? Also, I’ve kind of been wondering about your PC specs. Wouldn’t be surprised if you had a 3090 or a couple 1080 Tis as a render farm. I’m on a 3060, and I plan to get it switched out to something more powerful once Nvidia wisens up.

You could add a colored light, and point it sideways on the material. Also you could turn the roughness down, so that is more reflective.

In order to use a procedural material in a game engine or another 3d software, you will need to bake the material out to texture maps. Check out my tutorial on how to do that here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eJibech-p6immpc.html

@@RyanKingArt hello so I watched your video, but I wanted to export the texture to apply it to unreal engine, not export the object, so I watched your other video (Bake provedural Materials to Tileable texture maps) and my problem is that when I apply my texture it's not tiled? like at the beginning of that video your texture immediately takes over the whole plane, while for me my snow texture applies very weirdly in the shapes of the UV's. any idea how to fix that? Sorry for commenting on such an old video btw and thanks for your help!
