Worth mentioning that if you're struggling to add a 5th member to a unit, it's worth considering what kind of Valor skills they can bring to it. Something like Viking with Vitalize to a flying leader with low stamina, or Werefox with Jump II on a slower infantry leader can be super useful on a map, even if they won't add much to your unit in battle

One thing to note about conferral abilities, is that they calculate the damage from the conferral separately from the main attack and then add the 2 together. This is relevant for multihit attacks like the Swordmasters Meteor Slash, which hits 9 times for 20 Physickal Potency each, if conferral were per hit, you'd be seeing like 30 more damage per hit, but you end up seeing an extra 4 damage per hit or so. I was very dissapointed to find out when I tested it

As always great content. I’m curious to hear how you approach team building in the Early/Mid game. I’ve found later game team building fairly easy because characters have more options and skills. But team building in Drakenhold was tougher for me because options were limited

I would love to see you try a mercenaries-only playthrough (only custom units, no uniques), and what team comps you can build with that restriction.

May be easier because you can min max growths with recruits

@@Noobieedu in a way, yeah; it also means you don't have access to some classes until later, so you need to be a bit more creative with unit comps

If someone has guard seal they can still cover other units but will take full damage.

If I may, reducing target's deffense by 50% is not techically doubling potency. The way damage is calculates (DMG=[user attack-target defence]xPotency) means target defence reduction has has almost no impact on low defence target, but tremendous one for when its realy clos to users attack. In short, you'll not see a lot of difference against Mages or Berserker for example, that will be massive against Legionaires or Vanguard.

hi! random question when the elven archer conferrals 50 potency of magic damage, is it 50 of the archers mag attack or 50 of the unit getting the conferrals magic attack?

I have a very stupid question. When it comes to healers, do I look at the magic attack stat to see how strong the healing will be or is it by magic defense? Also is there any reason to give a shaman a "strong" staff in terms of stats or can I use any utility staffs? Thans for the video. Can't wait to nuke things at end game!

Usually for Shaman, it's better to give them utility staff to boost their stats especially initative.

A bit late but if the heal skill says Mag potency then it will use their magic stat, also their crit stat affects the chance for it to crit.

How does rosalinde elemental roar work regarding your physical and magical damage? If you give her the ring of th e maiden does the increased stat boost help both magic and physical potency? So would she benefit more from all stat boost since it helps both physical and magical damage?

Look at the Potency. 100 = 100%. If you have 50 attack and the enemy has 20 defense, a 100 potency attack will do 30 (50-20 * 100%). With a split, it calculates both. So when you get a magic conferral, you add 50 magical potency, so it’s your magic attack minus their defense times 50% and that’s added to the other calculation. So if you buff the elves attack, it will add to the physical portion of the calculation. Powerful Call would be the best if they have mages in the back as they can resist it.

She def benefits from the + Stat items. Her 1ap single target attacks does huge damage cuz that is both magic and physical. She can also chain it like 8 times in a battle making her a good candidate for pursuit teams.

Hi question - can a gambler coin buff the equiper? Say i give a swordmaster gambler coin, does she buff herself prior to using Artenie Strike? Or do i need to equip the coin on another team member to buff her?

You can't self-buff with coin, it triggers on an ally doing a thing/not the user

They could have added better items to the enemies. Offline coliseum teams should be more common throughout the main game. Most enemies have the most basic equipment. Pvp itself in this game is very underwhelming.
