Everytime I watch Grandma Dathy, I always get a tear because she cooks like my grandmother who died a few months ago, she was 99. She was a Southern Cuisine Queen!

Oh honey you brought back such sweet memory of my momma and Granny Smith. They made smothered potatoes and onions all the time. And I use to make them along time ago. I forgot all about making these. As soon as my niece can go shopping for me I will make them. Sometimes they would crumble fried back or crumble cooked sausage in them at the end. I loved this with fried eggs.

“So good. So tasty!” Yes they are. Bless your beautiful heart! You are so sweet. You remind me of my aunt Tiny. I cook mine in an electric skillet with olive oil, parsley & seasoning. My family loves them. I love them with breakfast. My dad used to make them for us for breakfast, rest his soul & I learned how to make them from him.

I love you ma'am. I've been trying to find someone who could cook fried taters and onions like my mama did. I always thought she floured the potatoes just a little but I may be mistaken about that. Mama used to say, "You got to leave them alone." I stirred and flipped them to mush. I'm going to buy me a new deep frying pan like yours and give it another try. Wish me luck! Thank you ma'am!

I would rather have 1 tablespoon of butter than four of margarine with all its chemicals. Just eat fiber after that and you’ll be fine

Texas I do everything she said except butter, water, that more of a mash potato. I use olive oil, red onions, and i continue to stir until the potatoes are crispy like and actually brown. No top, no water, no butter. Only salt and pepper, and red, green, and yellow bell peppers.
