I tried with a paraffin hand wax melter and soy wax candle beads with no luck, the wax was too thin and cracked… is regular parafin wax used?

Hi April, we are using a special wax blend that we formulated. Try making more layers to make the hand stronger.

Yes, regular paraffin wax is used. You need to dip about 8 times. I don't recommend dipping in water in between wax dips. Any water droplets left on wax will cause a bubble and wax will not stick to itself. You can also use lotion or aloe to make wax easier to remove.
