I tried making yard sign letters using foam board! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to make these lawn signs. Especially after I figured out using an Exact-o Knife made the foam board cuts a lot more smoother and easier to cut. I use the small utility knives from dollar tree to cut foam boards...they come 3 in a pack....I've also used a sharp steak knife....but the utility knife does better and it's easy to hold. Its sharp enough to cut the board...ive cut on my bare floor and it didn't leave a mark...hope.this helps!

What did you used to paint the letter??

My cousins used spray paint. They did about 2 - 3 light coats. You don't want to saturate it with the spray paint, as it will make them wet and the paper will curl. Thanks for watching!

Hello, since it is made of foam board, I don't think so. You may be able to laminate them using contact paper or large lamination paper. I haven't tried this but it might be worth a try if you want to waterproof them.
