yea and also the fear that someone stole my identity and something fake comes up on the backround check.

omg this is EXACTLY where i'm at, even the eating popcorn all worked up while watching movies. they told me 2 days ago on the phone that the offer will be in the email after the backround check. i keep staring at my inbox. i dont have any criminal, but i wasnt the best i could have been at my last job. idk if they gonna call them and ask about me? meanwhile i'm waiting to see if other companies i interviewed with call me back. what if they do and tell me something similar? then i gotta decide. do i want job A which seems like a really cool place with friendly people, but its lower pay and i gotta take the bus. or job B which i can walk to, has better pay, but it's a harder job with longer hours and a more strict environment? i'm middle aged, the most important thing to me is going to a job i'm happy with where i can stay until i retire.

Hi, I received a written job offer from Company A like almost 2 weeks ago. I am currently waiting for Company B’s (My goal company) decision but it’s taking some time. A few days ago, I emailed the HR from Company B and told them that I received a job offer from another institution and because of this I wanted to know if they already made a final decision whether or not they would give me a job offer… the HR called me that night and said that I passed all the interviews, she’s giving me a verbal confirmation that I got the post BUT there’s not specific date when they can send me a written job offer since the hiring manager is on leave due to bereavement… is this normal? What is the best thing to do?? Hope you can help me 🙏🏻
