JDS Performance How to Nissan 240sx KA24DE Head Build DVD Part 3 - Cam specs/differences - Valve lash - Removing broken studs/bolts
This DVD was made way back in 2006. So please forgive the quality.
I quit making these video a while back and finally got some time to load them all up on here for free for you guys/ladies!
I will be loading every DVD Video I have made, it will take some time to get them all loaded.
Enjoy and my website is still up and FSMs are available there.

Looking at the valve spring compressor, I think there would have been more leverage if the bar was in the top set of holes opposite of the side being worked on. Ignore if that was found to be the case after this was filmed.

I'm rebuilding a 1999 2.4 frontier but it's just like that but it dosenot have the back retainer on the cam

The shim buckets are actually pretty damn strong you dont have to be THAT gentle

My favorite video for ka24de head. How do you remove the stock shims. Are they pressed into the cups

Check out the full video in my videos 👍🏻 They are just held on by oil…just pull them off or use a small flat head and carefully pull up on them.

What brand pistons are those with the valve reliefs , are they custom…… do you have dimensions or part number?

Sorry I do not have that info anymore. They were not custom though.

@@JDSPerformance25 then they must be discontinued or a 90mm or something because all of the off the shelf 89 and 89.5mm ka24de pistons I have ever seen in several years are just the same .... dished like from factory.

@@JDSPerformance25 I thought you said you don’t have info on them? Do you now know what compression ratio, 89,89.5,or90mm…. Are they off the shelf? Like I said I’ve never seen ANY off the shelf aftermarket ka24de piston with valve reliefs on them.

@Schmitty_Luv2 8.8:1 is the ratio….89.5 refers to the bore size you have, I found it for you.

@@JDSPerformance25 Dude this so informative and useful for me. I took an engine to a machine shop for a long block service and they didn't do the valve adjustment for me so it had a slight misfire at idle.
