Hey everyone! You don't need to consider yourself an artist to paint this mural! or one similar. Follow these steps and it will turn out great.
The best part about todays in-style wall paper is that a lot of it looks hard drawn with lots of imperfections, so if you mess up or it doesn't look blended in certain areas TRUST ME it will work out.
The paint I used is SICO MUSE from Kent.ca

DIRECTIONS:
For a mural like this I just use two colors, the top one and the bottom one and mix them as I go. You can use 100 colours if you want to but I’m just showing you that you don’t need that many cans of paint to complete this project
1. To start off you need to paint the top of your wall white or whatever colour you chose. I’m using SICO muse delicate white it’s my favourite white. Start by fully painting the top portion or the top half of your wall. I started with a quarter of the way up because I’m gonna be adding several layers of mountains but you can decide where you want to start your landscape.
2. Step back and see if you like the flow on your mountains. I found the peaks all looked a little too Similar so I’m going to be adding a deeper Valley and I just go over it with white paint.
3. For the second set of mountains you will use the first color, again I'm using delicate white and I will add a bit of my dark blue called Jazz night. You can also do this in a separate container But I mix it directly in the can. Once The color is established, Then I put a little in another container for touch ups later on.
4. Paint Your second row of mountains and before its dry add a little bit of white and blend it upwards to create a look of fog behind your next set of mountains
5. For your third set of mountains, add more dark and paint them on but keep in mind where you added the fog patches, that's where your valleys will go so the fog peeks through.
TIP: I use the same brush the entire time because it's all the same undertone so it blends really nicely.
6. While the mountain dries I dip my brush into the white and add some snow to the mountain tops. Repeat this on the tops of all the mountains, Don’t worry about spilling over, you can always go back in later and make your mountains sharper.
TIP: Step back and see if you like the flow, because you have the colors set aside you can always make mountains taller or valleys deeper, it just depends on what you like.
7. Add your third set of mountains and while It's wet, add some white and mix in the fog to prep for the next color.
8. Paint on your last set of mountains and then dip your brush in one of the other grey colors so you can outline some of the bottom mountains to appear as if they stand in front of the other but they are still the same color. This adds more dimension to your mountains
Continue to the bottom and let it dry as you clean up your mountains up top. This is when I add some clouds with the white paint. don't put much on your brush and as you make them larger they will fade off and look real.
9. Once the paint is done, down to the bottom, you will add your trees. I dipped my brush in the pure black (keep in mind I am using the same brush throughout so there are other colors that are still wet on the brush and that's OK. I use the tip of my brush to build out the trees. Paint your trees on like arrow heads. Trees are all unique in reality so your painted ones don't have to be anywhere close to perfect. Gaps, longer branches, they are all OK.
Wallpaper that's trending today is very hand-drawn and imperfect two your mural should to! I also ad tiny tiny trees to the first layer of mountains in the valleys. And then I add some bold clouds to the spaces that seem bare.
