Thank you Michael for another fantastic tutorial. You are truly the master of realism art. It always makes my jaw drop when I see your work my friend. Your color matches are impeccable. I wrote in once and asked if maybe in the future you could teach us how to paint a natural cabbage palm like you see in the southern United states .. Florida they are very prevalent. They are very tough to get that 3 dimensional appearance. The top and sides are easy. It's those detailed frawns facing you. Lol Maybe one day you can do a tutorial on the trees of the southeast United states. Thank you for your great teachings.

I come from the place known as "God's Own Country" that is Kerala, 'India's Spice Garden'.. and its most famous for Coconut trees..🌴🥥 I've never seen a Coconut tree drawing video, that too detailed.. but you made that dream of mine fulfilled.. thanks a lot, dear brother.. 🥰 And by the way, in my language, the Coconut tree is called "Thengu" (with *g in low sound and *u in silent).. The Coconut is called "Thænga".. The leaf is called "Ola" (*l as in 'Lilly').. Thanks again for this beautiful video.. 🥰👍

Very inspiring work! I would like to do some of your lessons but have to ask a silly question first,... I am currently using acrylics, and haven't used oils for many years and was wondering if I could get similar results using this technique of yours with acrylics??Sure hope so, I love painting palm trees, and yours are amazing!! Thank you :)

Do u wait for the paint to dry before adding the lighter shades? I have found that i cant add a lighter shade before the dark shade dries as it all merges together and becomes a big mess. Please advise

As much as I admire your painting style, there is something off with this one. I took me a while but I realized that the main problem is that the shadows of the distant trees vary ...meaning they look much darker below palm tree trunk than these above. I also think that the distant green highlights are bit too vibrant and that's why the jump to the viewer. Nevertheless that's a fun painting. Thanks
