How to Paint White Space Marine Armour for Warhammer 40k

Hi everyone!
It's been a busy October for me but I'm back with more painting tutorials!
In this tutorial I take you through how to create a White Scars Terminator using an airbrush! Hopefully it will give you a few ideas for painting your own white armoured marines!

Luna Wolves; there's an illustration in one of the old HH black books of a Sons Of Horus Legionary in predominantly white armour (with sea green pauldron) IIRC KIA during the battle of Prospero. Always thought the shadows had a hint of purple in them - your recipe would be perfect for a squad or two. Nice work, cheers!

I might have missed it.. how long between the oil drying and throwing the matte varnish on? Do you let the oil cure any length of time or just get it “hair dryer dry” and throw varnish on over top?

Such a nice scheme, the purple is a great twist on the regular bases for white! Been building a WS force with a RG allied detachement and already had my mind set on a scheme, but this is interesting. The question now is; how could I get some purple into the RG black to tie them together.

Purple eyes, purple osl effects of a thinned purple into the shadows of the model?

@@medheadful that's kind of where my head's at as well. Or maybe give some subtle purple tones in the grey highlights a try too

Any idea how to do this with GW paints? and without an Airbrush - tried a rattlecan and ya doens't really work, as you build up the white it just blocks everythign white, you lose the undercoat
