I'm currently rebuilding a 390 FE for a 1971 F100, my first total restore I'm tackling. Thank you for this complete teardown, it's a lot of things I've learned during my teardown process as well - especially just throwing out all the old, hard rubber! I'd love to see a video that looks at some older engine blocks and determines if they're still good/usable or not. I haven't really been able to determine what can stop a block from being used - other than obvious cracks.

I want to swap in a 351W stroker motor (408). Should I pull the C-6 with the Engine, seeing that I probably will have to use a different bell housing? Or just pull the C-6 out sepatately? What bout removing from a 3 speed on column . Do you still remove flywheel bolts
@2carpros2 жыл бұрын
So I'm assuming its a manual 3 speed and those you don't have a torque converter to unbolt. Typically you just have to unbolt the manual transmission. To remove the engine. Sometimes you have to take the line off the throwout bearing but sometimes it's just a fork and it's super easy. Thanks for watching!
