How to Remove and Replace AC Compressor. Dodge Stratus and Chrysler Sebring

We took this video to show you how to remove and replace the A/C Compressor on Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Stratus Second Generation from 2001-2006. We demonstrated it on a 2.4 EDZ Engine but the 2.7 will be almost the same procedure. Both Engines share the same compressor.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE that your A/C system is empty before you start disassembling the system in order to avoid injures!!!

Great Video World Mechanics! God am I glad I finally found this video!... FYI IT WORKS! Excellent camera work & content providing accurate, simple, clear instructions & clarifications.... like your clarifying bolts location- it’s the little yet so vital things like that us non-professional mechanics/DIY’ers find so vital & helpful... combined with how you just kept it about the task at hand sparing us minutes of worthless commentary so prominent on literally a majority of YT How-To Videos ESPECIALLY mechanic ones. Argh I wish I found this prior to losing over 2 hours I’ll never get back but I did learn even I could establish a channel and get thousands of subs giving inaccurate advice while rambling like a lunatic. Lol. Which again you did not do whatsoever in this video. Pardon my rant, I just had to... as well as say I appreciate your video here! Thanks for the upload. I was wondering where the low pressure switch is located at? I have looked all over and can't find a photo showing where it is located at. I have tried to put freon in mine but the compressor isn't coming on.I have checked the fuses and relays and everything is good but i can't locate the pressure switch to see if it is bad. Thanks for the upload and any information you can give.

How did you capture the refrigerant? When you took out the bolts on the compressor there was some pressure there! ?

Hey man awesome work I have a question if I'm replacing my account compressor because it got damaged from a car crash so now in the pulley there's a ding and the clutch locked I bought a new compressor and a new line with the filter build in it and the condenser and the AC oil they said I have to open where the lines low and high go and that I have to pour the oil out spin it like 10 times and put 2 oz of new oil and spin again and the install and that the condenser take another 2 and when everything is install when charging the AC I have to ad 2 oz more of oil in it do I have to install all this crap and do this process

I installed my new a/c compressor now I have a rough idle when I put it in drive or reverse, But when I putit in park it goes to a normal idle, Any ideas what I did wrong Thanks
