Shannon is like going to work and listening to people talk. I always end up smiling. “I don’t know, probably some kind’a geometry or something” We should message him our favorite “Shannon” quotes and he could make a highlight “reel”. There was one, it may have been the bathroom remodel with the pocket door but I can’t remember where he stands back and says “No, that’s upside down”. I like his real life videos. Oh how about the one where he was describing holes in the sheetrock of children’s bedrooms and no one knowing how they got there.

Great stuff! My biggest take away is the side rolling action with hammer and plyers. 55yo and somehow I never discovered that easy move.

Hey Shannon, So glad you continued on You Tube. I did indeed learn something in this video. I'm not a carpenter. I check your video's first before starting a project. I am currently doing my entrance stairs. Thanks for the help.

You're an excellent instructor 11:34 we use to call them nippers, using them on wire fences, and almost anything. Thanks Shannon Happy Mother's Day everyone 💐

A pair of fencing pliers will work also when removing nails. Having a block of wood under your hammer head when pulling out long nails helps a lot. Works like a lever and fulcrum I learned about in school. Thanks Shannon

One of my favorite tools is the Crescent nail pulling pliers model NP11. I am in my 70s and this tool makes it easy when removing many nails. I have even used it to remove ring shank nails. I do enjoy your videos because I usually learn something new.

I always use glue for trim and screws for everything else. Nails and flat-head screws should be phased out.

For a soft and thin wood is OK, can you do it on a 1/2” oak? Don’t think so.

Harder woods can be a different beast, but brad nails will usually pull through most woods under 3/4" thick, not always.

What if the staple is deeply recessed 1-2mm? And you have no access to the back side of the wood.
