Grain and noise removal or it's application is a very important process that each compositor needs to know. It is a very subtle but crucial detail which sells the whole image by making it look real, even though it is composited.
In this lesson you will learn: the difference between film grain and digital noise; when and how to remove noise from your footage; when and how to add grain onto your composited element; how to match grain or noise between your footage and composited element; what third party plugins are effective with extreme noisy footage; etc.

Hey maybe you can help me figure out why I got noise using my iPhone 8 in a well lit Catholic Church. I can’t figure out for the life of me how the hell it got into my shots. I was using a stabilizer called the Hohem iSteadyx . And I noticed I couldn’t figure out how to adjust their iso and shutter speed etc. it’s so annoying so now I just added after effects to my CC plan to try to remove it so I can match shots with my canon 70d

@@FireballVFX yeah the stabilizer is absolutely amazing. The app, not so much. It’s very frustrating not being able to understand how to change the basic settings any photographer / videographer would normally set. And what’s even more frustrating than that? The fact that there is NO TUTORIAL OR MANUAL on the Hohem website, included with the stabilizer, or on KZfaq about how to configure these settings. There is however tutorials about literally everything else but that 🤦‍♂️. And the reason for my question is I am still new to videography, I have only associate noise and grain with low light and iso
