Thank you for your support and completing the list of softwares ) i might have missed more of them, so keep them coming. "Flowbox" has a very helpful and unique tools for rotoscoping. It is 1350$ and is node based.

Thank for organizing these softwares!!! I'm a compositor and now using Fusion in my work. May I ask what different in Fusion and Nuke? Except the price, haha

They both have node-based workflow, which are similar. I didn't use Fusion much, as Nuke is more popular in vfx industry. I guess play around with both to notice how different they are, and let us know : )

I am just started using Natron which is node-based, and the skills that I learn in Natron will transfer to Nuke, I also learned Hitfilm Express and After Effects. I am trying to become a Visual Effect Compositor some day!

i have very small doubts in compositng please clarity in tutotial 1) meaning of alpha 2) i am very confusing using merge tool and one thing merge is not a combing two things i want a logic behind merge. 3)use busy and cut matte

Which software are you talking about, when you mention "merge tool"? What are you trying to achieve? 3. What do you mean by "busy" and "cut" mattes? Which software? What are you trying to achieve?

Sir AR VR Projection mapoing , mocap or motion caputure and matchmoving rotomotion tracking both 2D & 3D , camera solving & mapping ..and motion tracking..and ambient occlusion , multi pass rendering ,2.5 D shoot ,keying & color hue,masking ,motion blur..blue / green screen also streo roto and objects ,wires and cables ,rig removing...clean plate please make a video on that quries too ..bcoz u explain very much ambiguity free of mind to everybody like whether its begineers and intermediate level..myself rony an cg & Vfx student from india

Are Maya and Cinema 4D the same functional programs?

They are different, but both suitable for 3D work. I advice you to try both and see which one you like more.

@@FireballVFX I have been learning softwares related to the cgworld generally. Like texturing, Uv unwrapping and modeling and I am not even sure if they are production ready. I would also love to learn a lot about particle simulation and how make realistic particle effects for magic and other effects Like a ground breaking from a characters footstep in slow motion. I just want to know the softwares I should be learning and how I can be sure I am doing the right thing.

For coloring - yes. For editing - ok. For motion graphics and vfx - no.

Zbrush is more like for sculpting. It would go more towards 3d modeling softwares.

Maya:- I am best for modeling Zbrush:- I can do best sculpting Nuke :- I am the best compositor Me:- I there any software which would do all these things or I it's just impossible Blender to me:- Darling you have no idea what's possible

Well, you mentioned Syntheyes, Boujou, and pftrack, but left out 3dequalizer which is the leading beast on big productions ;) And the best one in my opinion. And .. the most expensive :)

The best tip is to pirate all the software until you start making money with it, then buy a license
