How to REMOVE STICKERS from Comic Books Like a Pro!

Found a key comic book for cheap because it's got a sticker on the cover? I've tried all of the other methods to remove price tags and stickers from comic book covers, and have been disappointed. So i developed my own method that works great at safely removing stickers from comic book covers, which i share with you here!
Make sure you practice on some inexpensive comic books before trying this method on valuable comic books--it takes practice to master!
The materials and methods I use are archival. If done properly, they do not result in a purple or restored label from CGC.

Thanks for the vid. Im working on gameboy bpxes but i really appreciate how paper requires a more delicate touch. Also, i LOVED how you ended it with "take care of one another." Something we need to be reminded more of in my opinion.

I use Undu and I got a challenging sticker on a comic a few months ago that seemed to be glued right on and left massive residue. I had assumed that repeated applications to remove residue would need to use some kind of papery sheet that you could peel off like a sticker again & didn't think getting soft cotton all stuck in the residue would help. I scraped at it too hard and started lifting color and then left it with some residue still on it so as not to do any further damage. I watched this video just now and tried it with cotton pads on said book. Question answered. I applied the technique you showed & it removed all residue with no further damage. Take away: Use cotton pads instead of paper & don't scrape too hard.

For books I've been using reverse rolled up masking tape to gently dab the sticky residue. Takes a while but does the job.

I haven't come up with anything that works as well...syringes are inexpensive and you can reuse one for a very long time.

Much better for me. One thing about the blow drying is the air can whip the paper around and even cause the page to flap and/or rip. But this method works better than heat in my opinion.

Yes of course. It works very well, and you could use it over either of the two products i mention here.

Primer: pronouncer pr -eye- mer

...or pr-eye-mer, as in first coat on a surface before the finished paint color. Never heard a body man pronounce it the other way. The way you pronounced it wouldn’t it be spelled primmer? But no biggie. We knew what you meant..

Actually no...spelled the same, but different meaning and different pronunciation than the word you know. My pronunciation is correct. Look it up.

When used in the context of a book, Primer is a Homograph of the word you know when used in the context of paint. I pronounced it correctly, look it up. But i agree with you, if you don't know the word, you would think it ought to have a second "m" in the spelling.

Thanks for watching! I pulled the book out and inspected it, and have no finger prints. I suspect you saw something that was either an artifact of lighting or perhaps a transitory print that was later removed when i buffed the cover. Appreciate the feedback though.

I have an old Strange Tales # 169 that had a sticker removed at some point but there is still very old residue on the book. Will this method still work?
