Mine with a solid pulley did 100,000 miles until alternator stator corroded. I was not able to remove the pulley from the old alternator. Thankfully, the new one came complete with a pulley.

@@davidelliott5843 I've heard of some ppl do it but I would guess maybe voltage might spike and regulator maybe burn up over time... 🤔 But not sure all old alternators where solid

@@aredhaired They never did damage any belt, tensioner or other rotating parts for 40 years using a solid pulley. We built the alternator with no problems! ASE Master since 78.
