Show de bola!!! O problema é que a fita isolante com pouco tempo começa a ficar solta, principalmente devido o aquecimento que ocorre depois de escanear várias páginas, o que transforma a cola da fita numa meleca. Mas pra tirar o cara do prego é uma excelente ideia. Vou fazer no meu ScanSnap S1500. Entretanto vou procurar uma solução mais duradoura que não seja esta fita. Aqui onde moro cobraram R$ 400 pra fazer este simples serviço aí e pior é que não dão garantia de nada.

Olá. Tens toda a razão. Também notei esse problema.Para resolver, basta colocares cola super 3 nos topos do rolo e deixar secar bem e depois montar. Fica 5 estrelas, mantém-se firme e não volta desmanchar. Podes também em alternativa comprar os kits das borrachas no AliExpress. ;)

You are my hero - THANX to Your video I managed to exchange those damned gooey rubber rollers with the fi-5120 C thereby saving the scanner from the bin.

Thanks for your video, replaced the four rollers using the video, having got the from Ebay seller. Everything is fine except now left with a E3 error so will have to sort this out.

Great video, Many thanks! I bought replacement tyres instead of the electric tape. To slide them easily, add a lot of wd-40 on the inside of the tyre and push down using two overlapping spanners no 8 or so. Is there a video on how to disassemble the bottom part?

Hallo another roller problem - be careful there a 2 different roller shafts and they are not interchangable. And You don't need neither the electrical tape trick nor the complete shaft. But You can take off the rollers and slide them on again - I used the fingerholes of my scissors

Good idea roll the feed with scotch. Could roll it without disassemble .

I am concerned about re-assembly after disassembly. Maybe make note sand take photos so process can be reversed?

I found out later there is a part two of the video with reassembly, although I mostly replayed a bunch of it. One thing that was not obvious is which places use screws vs bolts with washers. I found the two final holes on the very outside of the white case need screws as does center screw holding in the plastic at 5:12 use screws, the rest the bolts.

Hi Luis, thanks a lot for your good intruduction how to deasemble the Scanner und replace the rollers. I've done this on me Fi-5120C with new rolls. My problem now is, that the lengh of a DinA4 page is shorter (282mm instead of 297mm) because of a different diameter of the rolls. How do you fiexed this problem with your tape? Here the diameter must be much more different. I adjust the lengh in the Twain driver, but is it possible to do this directly in the Scanner?

Hello. The problem you are having will not be related to the diameter of the roll, because the static roll on the other side compensates for the difference. Checks that all components are properly seated. The scanner lens for example.

Hola Luis, Do you happen to have instructions on how to repair Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M, by chance? I think some gunk got into the roller or gear parts, so the scanner is not working. It makes a clicking noise when starting. It's an office machine and I can't figure out how to access the rollers or gears. Thanks.

Hi Sir, sorry about my bad english, i have followed your video to repair a fi-512c scanner, all worked fine for a couple of days, now scanner starts to become very hot again and the adhesive tape tends to peel off or misaligned. Any idea about this high temparature from the scanner, is it the lamp ?

+GIUSEPPE MORLEO Thanks for the post. Are you using a insulating tape used to insulate electrical cables? If so, keep your scanner off when you dont need to scan. When the scanner is on the lamp is allways on too, warming all around. Keep the scanner off and turn on when needed, is just need a few seconds to warm the lamp before is get ready. I have five scanner repaired for months and keep working fine doing as I said.
