How to repair switches on Power Wheels when there is a loss of functions

Most Power Wheels use the same style of switches for forward/reverse and hi/low speed setting, this video will show you how to disassemble one of those switches and clean the contacts.

Help please! I have a mcalren 24v drift car, forward works but reverse doesn't. Any ideas?

More than likely the forward/reverse switch isn't making contact, try rocking the switch back and forth like a hundred times and sometimes that can help the contacts clean themselves

I have a 12V First Drive Mustang blue toy car, with no power at all. Using voltmeter I checked the battery and power source volts, all seems correct. There's a 3rd grey wire that goes to some module (looks like that switch in your video).. was told this is a ground wire ... any tips to troubleshoot what's wrong? All wires seem connected, nothing loose.

Sounds like one of the drive switches is not working, i can suggest removing the switches and cleaning the contacts, there's even the possibility one of the drive motors have failed
