@@Poolelementary do you happen yo know what size pressure gauge i can use on a intex sandfilter and pump 16"?? Its been broke for a few weeks and i have bought the wrong size twice now! So i measured across the bottom screw in part on old one 3/8 outside to outside right across the bottom that youd stick in the filter, little did i know thats not how it is supposed to be measured, and i have read and read so much about id od mnpt npt fnpt and this type needs a sealent but fnpt dies not and uhhh i still dont know! I think something said subtract quarter inch off so if my mnpt is 3/8 is my actual inside fnpt 1/8? Ir is it not even fnpt and just npt? Please assist in the security of my sanity!

Hi Leah your pressure Guage should either be a 1/4 inch npt or 1/8 inch npt but 1/4 inch is most common.

Most filter systems have a pressure gauge to tell you when and how dirty your filter is getting. So I would say yes it has a pressure gauge. If there is zero Threaded holes in the top of the filter canister than maybe not.
