If you squeeze both lower red parts of your controller you can unclip without any tools.. Basically pinch the red part of the handles and you should feel them pop right out EZ

Wish there was something similar for xbox other than the cheap always-disconnecting rechargeable battery. That outro was absolutely badass LK!

Well thoes style of batteries need to have a charge if they go below a certain voltage they go bad.

is this the same as the ps4 dualshock slim version

Yes, it's a CUH-ZCT2 which debuted with the PS4 Pro and Slim. I customized mine by switching out the back plate with a black one to match the original v1 magma red, as I like that look better.
