This video shows you how to replace the lock actuator so that you don’t need to purchase an entire latch assembly in your 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. Power door lock systems typically use some sort of actuated motor to drive the lock mechanism. If the actuator breaks, then the door lock will no longer operate electronically.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Ty for extra time for step by step detail and camera still-shot check for corrosion. Later we can put dab of silicone grease on each connector and rod slide contact. Without this last greasing, EVERYONE will need another actuator within 5 years. The binding and friction is what made the failure in the first place. The lesser used locks will be next to go.

I replaced mine and sometimes the lock binds up, and feels like the bars are not allowing full movement. (Its not the lock cylinder)

Would the new door actuator make the door feel a little rougher to close upon contact with the door jamb hooking assembly thing? Mine feels a little rough upon closing with a new actuator🤔
