You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs, for example door handles, window regulators, power window motors, door locks and more. For those who have the red light on the door, you need to pop the lens out. Then pop the light housing out and behind that hides a screw. The example Camry here does not have this light.

Thanks!!! you just saved me about $100 worth of work. I needed to replace the speaker( or so I thought), but once I did everything that you told me to do in the video. I found that in wasn't the actual speaker that needed to be replaced, but the supporting wooden ring around the speaker was loose. After a simple quick super glue, it's good to go. No more raddling of the speaker. Thanks again :) this is the second time you've helped my out with my '95 camry.

You guys absolutely ROCK. I was stuck with the interior bezel around the handle, and this video was the solution I needed. Knowing where to place the flat head driver blade made all of the difference. I was almost going to go get "a bigger hammer" but knew it had to be some simple finesse that would be the solution. Thanks again for a great video that is easy to follow and solves the problem.

I have the 95 Camry coupe. The screws to get the door panel off are different. There is a screw behind the door light. You have to take the lens off the light. Then you have to remove the light housing. Then you can take the screw out.

@MIANJILO If you can't open the door from the inside or the outside, sometimes the only thing you can do is find a way to take the door panel off with the door closed so that you can access the lever that will open the door latch mechanism. If you can get all of the screws holding the panel onto the door, you should be able to use a putty knife to remove the panel from the door so that you can take the door panel off. Hope this helps you out.

Just did this last week to replace stereo speakers and the process is simple and well depicted in the video. Only relatively tough part was removing the bezel around the handle and lock. Pay close attention to the video and pry from within the bezel rather than the outside. Bezels may break and you risk damaging the door if you pry from the outside.

Thank you so much for sharing this - it worked (almost) perfectly for my camry. I had a couple extra screws under a door light and under a handle speaker - but after we found those, it came off easily. OH - and thank you for including how to put those push pin type "screws" - I wasn't sure about that until I watched the rest of the video!

Great video, really helped me remove mine. Thanks! The only issue I had with mine was mine ('92 Camry LE sedan (production date 10/91) has the courtesy light in the lower back part of the arm rest and there is a screw behind that. I was tugging trying to get mine off, then realized it had another screw. This car appears to not have that courtesy light. Turns out the company I bought my switch from sent the wrong one, it isn't flat on the bottom like my switch is, plus I think I have burnt my motor up because it only clicks when I push the switch (driver window only) and I think it had been stuck in the close position. It made a light click with the old switch and a loud one with the new one, but still the window will not go down.

I have a 94 camry, the lock on the front passenger door won't close automatically, though it seems to get nudged slightly every time we try. Is this something that could be fixed without much of a hassle by removing the door panel? Any help would be really appreciated.

I commented on the other video about replacing the window regulator, but I have a different problem removing this. On my car there's a red light to indicate that the door is open and the car used in this video does not have that, thus the door comes off really easily. Mine, with all the man-strength in the world, will not come off as this light is somehow holding down the entire door panel to the car. What should I do?

on a different topic.. I am feeling vibration at the steering wheel,shifter and at the dashboard. I dont have any issues with the front end, i have recently aligned and balanced the wheels..I did have bad motor mounts so i replaced all 3 but i noticed that the "dog bone" upper motor mount is not sitting properly it looks like its binding, It is the side that bolt towards the motor..I believe that is the cause of the vibration.. Any thoughts on the problem? Good video :-) very informative..

Im replacing the speakers in my car and I was wondering if the grilles above the front speakers just pop off? or do I have to take the whole door panel off?

For the door handle, it seemed easiest for us to pry the bottom clip out by having the screwdriver contact the inside of the bottom portion. . Took us forever to figure that out.

does the passanger door panel remove just as easily-driver door won't open from outside and passenger door won't open from inside -. I believe both pins popped off handle from inside panel.

The rear driver side power window button doesn't work from the drivers door panel. All other buttons function. And the actual button on the rear driver window doesn't work. Any advice would be great

You may need to remove the door panel and pop the door open from inside of it. Once the door panel is off you should be able to grab a rod and remove it.

my mom has 89 Toyota Camry and both of her back doors will not open. The handles kind of feel like the child lock might be on but the doors will not open from the inside or outside. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It shouldn't be that bad of a job. It usually involves removing the door panel, and then taking the rod off of the door lock actuator. Then either unbolt or drill out the rivet holding the actuator to the door so that you can service it. Hope this helps you out.

It may cause a vibration issue if it's not installed correctly.

It sounds like the door lock actuator may have gone bad. If there's power to it, and it wiggles when you try to unlock the door, it's usually the sign of a bad door lock actuator.

What if the door handle isn't operating on either the inside nor outside? I just replaced the exterior door handle. I'm assuming the metal rod came out of the plastic clip...what can I do?? Please get back to me.

@@tumblingman28 I had the same problem on my 94 camery. Door won't open . I had to pretty much rip the panles from the sides that were covered by the closed door. I got it off but messed up my door panel pretty bad . The metal rod that comes attached to the actuator broke off . Now I have to replace the actuator and find a new door panel or try and fix the one I messed up. Oh the door panel is hard to find.

@tctebsrules You have to really be careful with this age of car - the plastic can get brittle and snap with not that much force.

You may want to check to see if there's power to the switch. If there isn't check the wire harness between the driver side door and body of the vehicle for a broken or possible frayed wire. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

You more than likely we need to remove the whole door panel.
