The middle stud/nut on the passenger side manifold seems to be unreachable. The pipe is in the way and so is the oil filter. Any ideas on how to get to it? It's a 2007 forester with a 2.5 liter engine.

I am wondering are you using the O2 senors from the old exhaust? Can that be done or should I replace them, when performing this repair? I ask because I am going to replace my catalytic converter soon, but last year I replaced both O2 senors.

+Thomas Craig The O2 sensors should be replaced if they need to be, otherwise, they can be reused if they are in good condition. 1aauto.com

No torque specs just feel it? 😂OK. No cleaning the mating surface when installing new exhaust manifold gaskets? It always bums me out when you do not show the final product on the ground running together.

can the heat shield fro the original be re used and re installed on the new replacement pipes ?

+Mono gram adikt Thanks for watching! That would required modifying the old shields, but they are not necessary if you are replacing it with a unit like the one in the video!

my car is missing the underbody covers and I live in a state that gets a lot of salt on roads due to snow. if anyone can help me find those for sale that would be great!

What brand is this converter? What parts come with besides the converter? Will stock heatshields fit?

I have the same questions especially the heat shield those pipes and cat get really hot and seems w/o out the shield in place 2 things get affected first the cat needs to be HOT to work effectively and second you need to protect other areas around the cat and pipes from excessive heat. Just leaving it w/o heat shield seems like a bad idea .I noticed that there was a missing lower engine cover (plastic) leaving that off would cool the cat especially driving in rain or snow. So w/o heat shield and lower engine cover installed lower engine cover might melt w/o the heat that the cat needs is dissipated.
