1) the weight needs to taken of the spring hence why it was difficult to get the bolt out. 2) use a sharpie for camber nut alignment marks. Not a big wide crayon. 3) vehicle needs to be on its wheels before torqueing down as it will put to much pressure on the bushes leading to premature failure.

Is it not better practice to put weight on the vehicle before torqueing the bolts so the bushings don't sit under constant torsional load?

Hi thanks for doing this video. I have a 07 ford edge. That needs these pieces replaced. Is the process same as the demonstration on ford focus you done here ?

What does the rubber pumper do that you mentioned? I noticed mine doesn't have one and have been wondering what the metal nub is on top of it.

My brain broke when he lifted the car to relieve the spring pressure instead of lowering the jack further. So simple... why have I never thought of this?

Torque under load? I gave the control arm a few full pumps with the jack to load the suspension when it almost lifted off jack stand. hope Im good ..... OPinions.

The smaller rear lower control arm bolt that bolts into the rear knuckle near the brake drum keeps spinning and won't come out removed the nut and bolt on the chassis side no problem there , the nut is off and it got soak with about two gallon of WD 40 and the stupid bolt won't come out any suggestions help would be deeply appreciated

+ANDY WAN Thanks for checking us out. If the bolt is stuck in there you may want to attempt to apply some heat in order to loosen it a little bit and you may also want to take a look into using a drill and boring out the bolt and trying to remove it that way.

You cueatex: no rear sway bar and the outer bolt was not rusted solid to the arm bushing.

Camber bolt is speacial and sold as singles. All other mounting bolts are M12 coarse thread. 1.75 × 65mm Flange. ☆I used 70 mm Hex bolt with washer because Flange bolts were sold out

This model doesn't have a sway bar link attached to the rearward lower control arm. 🙄

Because you can regulate the tension with a jack

Cos they're a pain in the butt and you really need one of those special macpherson spring compressors to get into the space

The one reason that I watched this clip was to see how to align the arm to the hub and bolt. And guess what? The video stopped just before and then BAM you managed to do it off camera. I have to do this on the floor of my garage I do not have a lift...you could have struggled with it on camera Major waste of time....
