Thanks so much for this video. I'm a tech and I opened the unit up but took a pause before trying to remove the motor. I didn't want to break the thinner plastics pieces so I searched the net and this video guided me through the rest of the way! Now I need to order a roller motor. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this video. I'm not mechanically inclined AT ALL but I was able to follow this video step by step and change my vacuum belts. Life saver after viewing 3 other videos that were less than helpful. Thanks again for sharing.😊

My main roller won’t spin but the soft front roller is? I can spin it easily by hand, but doesn’t spin when running. I replaced belt. Any idea as to the problem or the fix? Thank you.

He makes it look easier than it is. The orange inside part with the belts is hard to remove and replace...but I did it.

I can’t find the larger back belt sized. I’ve ordered two and neither works even though it has EPH205. Anyone have the specs and where to order?

Shark wants you to buy an entire new head assembly if your belt breaks, that's why they use security torx bits to assemble everything. Luckily, you can buy security bits too.

When lifting out the Belt housing, Start be depressing that little peice of platic, and pushing it to the side, so it stays out of the way. Then start pulling at the top, by the metal. Its a little tricky!

My beater bar is not spinning but the front soft roller is. The beater bar turns by hand with little to no resistance. Can't be the belt if the front roller is spinning though right?

Mine is the exact same thing. Anyone know the problem, issue, fix?
@CaffeinatedCatLady10 ай бұрын
There are 2 separate belts in this dang thing so could possibly be 1 of the 2 causing your issue 🤞🏼

I can't find any EPH205 belts; do you know what other belts are compatible?
@Bnabum2 жыл бұрын
I have same problem...I called Shark...they don't sell them separately...you have to buy the whole power head. I will never buy another Shark product.

I can’t find the right size. I have the EPH205 but it seems too small. Can’t stretch it over. Other numbers on belt don’t match.

Could not get the 2 star screws below wheels off. Had to break the plastic. It should t be this hard to replace belt

Thanks ShopJimmy. I didn't know where to start. What a poor design. Why make it so difficult just to change the belts on a vacuum cleaner? Why so many screws and the need to use specialist tools to undo them? I could undo my previous vacuum cleaner using a 20p coin.

Because they want you to buy an entire new head assembly if the belt breaks. Helping the customer out would take money out of their pockets. It's kinda like printers and ink waste pads. They tell you the printer is garbage if the sponge gets too full of ink but you could get a waste ink collector tank and prolong its life.

My model (Shark UV480) uses Tamper-proof Torx screws. Most of them are size T20. But I found T10 in the side panels. Note: your typical tamper-proof driver bits (1/4" drive, 1" length) will not reach some of the screws! The screw holes are too deep to reach the bottoms, and too narrow for an extension. If you want to take this one completely apart, you'll need long (2"+), or possibly narrow (1/8" drive) bits. I was able to use a narrow tamper-proof T15 bit, with a narrow 4mm socket as an extension, in order to remove the T20 screws. In case you have the same model, I discovered that you don't need to remove all the screws to access the belt. The left side panel has a round plastic plug covering its tamper-proof T10 screw. After removing it, work around the perimeter with two flat screwdrivers, releasing plastic clips. Then the panel slides off to reveal the belt.
