thanks so much for making this. took the lamp off my dyna and it was clear the last guy who put it together didn't know what he was doing with the spring. had no idea how to do it right myself until i found this.

Although this was a big help I did watch one other that did not screw the the round part down and as I thought about it I recalled I only did loosen one screw but I put it back the way you did and it seems to be fine. However the LED light was a very tight fit almost didn't fit but I was able to get it back together THANX TO YOU! So Thank you for posting!

The loop doesn't screw down. It is handle to push down and lock under the bulb reflector you installed first. The second screw holds the wire in place. Loosen second screw unhook the loop and swing out of the way to replace bulb.

The "second" screw is just to captive the flat side of the wire, which acts as a hinge, It never needs to come off. You're supposed to put bulb in, then "close" the wire over the end of the bulb, spring-loading it, and push it in to tuck the catch under the metal tab. The screw holding the metal tab should never come off either. It's holding the interior parabolic reflector assembly in place, and with this method, it will likely fail or wobble.
