This video demonstrates how to remove and replace your throttle body on a 2005-2009 Ford Mustang V6. Tools needed are: 8mm wrench & ratchet with extension and 8mm socket.

If your vehicle has the codes P0122, P2106 or P2135, replacing the throttle body should fix these codes.
We had the battery unhooked for 2 hours, which should be enough time for the computer to clear itself. Here is how to recalibrate your throttle body: put the car in ignition (run) mode and wait for your dash warning lights to turn off, slowly press down on the gas pedal until reaching the floor (approximately 10 seconds), release gas pedal slowly, turn the car off, then start the car and let it warm up for 15 minutes. Make sure your air is not blowing and your doors are closed. After 15 minutes, turn the car off for 5-10 seconds, then start up the car and drive. This method worked for our vehicle.

Mostly, the throttle body is different for the V8. We have a link in the description for the unit.

For one thing you should have done a better job cleaning up around the fill area i cant believe how crusty it was and is and you should have replaced the lower gromet also i bet you still have a problem good luck

So theres no reason to take the car to the dealer to program the throttle body ? I was told you had to take it to the dealer

My throttle body has fuel lines on the bottom, the new one doesn't....

You must have a 2005 Mustang. It’s a coolant line to keep the throttle body from icing up. They changed the design in 2006. You will have to re-route the line or find a used one from a 2005.
