How to replace the chain on a gsx-r 600 and how to change tires on the GSX-R 600. Also, we sandblast the rims with a Dustless Blasting DB500 GT mobile blasting truck. These Suzuki rims needed to be stripped and repainted to match the color scheme of the new fairing. We swap the crusty old track slicks for the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Tires which I am so impressed by, They are a great street and track tire for a great price. Although I do wish I had The Rabaconda Street Bike Tire Changer since I had the WRONG size bead breaker set meant for dirtbike tires... You need the Beadpro 16" set!! These GSXRs are all very similar you can use this video as a how-to or guide hopefully on your own project bike. This 2007 GSX-R 600 will have a completely refreshed drive train and it turned out great!

Bruh... Am new at this riding adventures... Any recommendations of what is a good year(s) on the gxrs, with some technology I guess and better mechanicals in order to work on the bike...? Am doing research on the years but is confusing sometimes... Between 600 or 750...I just don't need to speed just to do casual riding chilling. Thanks! It was just some good old fashion soapy water(dawn)! The automotive degreaser did most of the work the soapy water was just for wiping really.

Hey yea so I learn from a expert race tech one time it’s always best to first find the actual heaviest spot on your rim with out a tire. Everyone assumes it’s where the valve stem is but some time it’s not, you need to mark the heaviest spot on your rim, then when it time to put on a new tire the tire will have a bright yellow or red dot on the side wall. That is the lightest part of the tire right where the yellow dot is. The idea is to match the heaviest and lightest spots so the tire and rim will have a good starting point for balance. Once that’s done you then put the wheel back on the balance bar and hold it at different angle and let go and see if it starts moving, if it doesn’t it’s balanced if it does, you have to wait to see where it settles. Once it settled you now know there is a slight heavy spot at the bottom and a lighter spot at the top. The goal is to put on a little weight one at a time, at the light spot, to see when the wheel will just hold still on not rotate. You can get a feel for how much weight it needs by how fast the wheel wants to turn to settle. But if it turns way too quick… either you didn’t do step one or something else is wrong lol hope this helps.

The finish on the rims look really good, awesome work! Been wanting to do this for my MC22 for a while now but just haven't got around to doing it lol. I've got one question, what's the stuff you sprayed on the rims after you sandblasted it? Keep up the good work, keen to see her resurrected to her former glory!

Thanks! Yes the rim paint came out better than I expected too! And the stuff I sprayed was just a 50/50 Alcohol solution to get any grime off before I painted. Yep I have one more vide left for this build and then is on to the next bike.

It would have helped if I had the longer set of tools and if I had stronger muscles lol I had done it once on dirt bike tire but sport bike tire are a whole different ball game….
