Depends on how many miles are on it... It needs brakes, wheel bearings & seat that we know of, tires are 3/4 worn and/or dry rotted. He already bought a battery & fuel pump for it (it might also be due for a new clutch, stator, chain, sprocket,etc..soon) and is scratched up/dented gas tank from being dropped.... If it has say 50,000 miles, it's not really worth more than what he paid for it. His profit will be made from doing the DIY repairs/labor which will make the bike worth a bit more money....You can buy an 04 GSXR 600 or 750 in very good condition with 18,000 miles for $3,000 I just seen a really nice one for sale Marathon FL asking $3,400 for it. It comes with a couple bike covers, security chain, helmet, gloves, jacket and lots of new parts. I highly doubt the seller is "punching air" right now

@@shadeaux5351 Thats awesome man, id assume that bike is carberated so you might want to try cleaning the carb. If its fuel injected, check all the things I did in this video and you should be able to get it running!

@@LIFEBUILDZchannel it seems as though it is carberated from research that I’ve done. I plan on attempting to clean it and hope that fixes the problem. Though, I’m not entirely sure how to tell if it is fuel injected or not. The main problem right now is just that not many people ride Suzuki boulevards so tips are relatively scarce

@@shadeaux5351 Well the best way I've found to know if its fuel injected or carbed is a google search with the exact year/model then say something like fuel injected? if that doesn't work you can always call a dealership and ask to speak to the service center, then ask them

if the pump has rusted the tank is prob flaking bad which will stuff the pump pick up. injectors need a clean out as well as the lines and rail. riding her in that condition is cooking the engine. seriously lean fuel , most prob the filter is already blocked with rust. watch the seals on the front and rear suspension and brakes. still a fun project might break even.

Hey, I noticed your FI light was on. That may be the C28 code for STVA. You may have to re solder that to get it right. It is a known failure but easy to fix. You have to take the piece off, remove the rivets and re-solder the connection and it will be good for another 20k miles. The natural vibrations of the bike cause the solder to break. It effects the butterflies which is why you were limited in range. It also effects the idle as well.

Man do I wish I had gotten this comment a few weeks ago. Last weekend I checked the f1 Light and it was c28. I manually opened the butterflies to test it and it ran like new!
@chiefbd
@chiefbd 3 жыл бұрын
@@LIFEBUILDZchannel yes what happens is sometimes it good in one spot but as the bike vibrates the solder weakens and it triggers the code. Look up 05 gsxr 600 stva fix. They will show you step by step how to do it. It will keep doing that until you resolder it

might wanna look into the fact that your secondary throttle valves didnt prime correctly at 6:44 they should open all the way and stay open until you start riding, they shouldnt be shut when the bike is in nutral.

Yes when the bike was laid over it broke the mirror bracket, thats why it shakes so much.

Love the vid bro! I actually have one of those bikes. I noticed teh check light is on and based on the fact that it's not revving past 8k it sounds to me like the FI light which would be the secndary trottle valve actuator STVA. It's usually a simple fix though. You have to disassemble it and then re solder the connections and you should be good. It happened to mine before. My bike actually has the same exact exhaust system too. Btw, if you should ever come across one of those fuel tanks in great condition and a reasonable price I'd love to get it. I need one for my bike.

I had the same problem simple fix is to remove the secondaries, problem solved and more power as soon as you roll the throttle. You don't have to wait until 8k for the butterflies to open up.

Hey man, really nice video. I have one question tho.. How are you so smooth on the rev matching :D I've been trying it for so long and it works sometimes but sometimes i completely misstime it. Is there any trick to help me master it cuz it sounds so cool and I would love to do it everytime I want :D

That’s very sweet of you! Honestly it’s been years of practice with not only cars, but bikes and other vehicles as well. It’s pretty hard to explain but when I downshift I blip the throttle just a small about which bumps the revs up to meet the next gear
@galin9613
@galin9613 3 жыл бұрын
@@LIFEBUILDZchannel Yes, blip the throttle and release the clutch. I'm doing the same but sometimes the bike feels not so responsive on the throttle and does not bumb the revs and sometimes when it does I manage to rev match. Is it some kind of setting I should make or is it me doing something wrong? And one final question.. Should I rev match when I'm high on RPM on the current gear or it should work even on 3000/4000 just as well? Oh and thanks for answering
