Big thumbs up!! I am right now working on my son's little RC which is a Remo Smax. I am converting it from brushed to brushless. Unfortunately the motor direction was wrong and I didn't know how to fix it. Thanks to this video I did it! Another new thing learned today for sure 😁😊👍👍

this was a perfect fix for me I bought a cheap Goolrc esc motor combo for my mini lst2 the esc programed the throttle in reverse and I don't have a program card yet this worked perfectly thank you

Thank you for posting this vid. I couldn't understand why when I transferred all of my electronics from a plastic tub to an aluminum one, the motor ran backwards. I tried reversing the switch on the transmitter and technically it worked, but it was wide open throttle and I couldn't adjust the trim enough to make it stop. So thanks for this vid. I posed the question on a RC forum, and no one answered and I'm missing my stupid fast truck. It was a EMAXX, except that I replaced the dual motors for a single brushless. Now I can go play. lol I have four other EMAXX as well. But those are staying relatively stock.

Sensorless only as far as I know...

If you use servo reversing on your transmitter you could effectively be running the reverse function of your speed control to go forward, this usually has the effect of bringing in a delay when you brake. Better to swap the two wires and leave the transmitter throttle reverse alone. Also, swapping two wires only applies to three phase motors (which pretty much all brushless RC motors are).

Does doing this not hurt the motor?

excuse me.. i have a ezRun 5.5t brushless motor and the sensor wire were soldered onto the motor it self .. does that mean i have to take it off or is there any other ways to reverse the rotation of the motor...

@MegaRallycar yep, fuel, 20 sets of tires, 3 rb c6 engines, one os speed, all the other stuff that i said, and alot more

I have the Reventon SPEED PASSION SPEED CONTROL pro and im using the KO Propo EX1 FHSS radio, the issue i have is that i cant configure the ESC to run THE MOTOR IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION the only way the speed control will run the motor after calibrating the speed control to the KO Propo EX1 is switching channel 2 in reverse BUT then the motor runs in the wrong direction I have tried programing the speed control several times in normal mode in channel 2 but the motor will not run at all in normal mode Can can you swap wires on this setup THIS IS A SENSORED BRUSHLESS SETUP ????

No go for my Mamba Micro X. Its faster forward now, but brakes only in reverse.

@MegaRallycar yes, but its also bad, because of the cheap quality, it might break easily and people could have a bad first expirience... i started with a slash 2wd, upgrades are cheap, its tough as it is, and i had an awesome expirence with it... i worked my way up, and know have 6 kits, one of which is a hot bodies d8

Brushless motors only? You can do this with brushed motors.

This doesn't work at all I have a fan in a air purifier. Brushless. I need to fan to run the other way. I swapped two positive and negitive wires and nothing. I swapped the negitive with the 3rd wire. Nothing.
