I realised something about Jade cocoon 2 that you might find interesting. The final boss is the maiden alcana mentioned in the elder's tales in Jade cocoon. For whatever reason wether localisation or something else the final boss was given a different name but it seems clear to me they are meant to be the same character. A female character who is the mother of monsters.

I love the original on ps1. I really wish this series would be revived. Remasters would help support a sequel. The monster fusion collection system has good potential.

I give a side eye to anybody who suggests removing tank controls from a game. It's definitely something to consider for remakes, but saying that there is no place for them in modern games gives way too much vibes of simplifying all games into samey products.

Tank controls and prerendered graphics are a whole vibe, i love it! with modern consles could make tank controls smmoooother and graphics beautiful.

I would gladly pay Destiny levels of ripoff for a remake of JC2 to ps5. There aren't games as inspired or innovative in monster taming anymore.. sadly because of the persistent pokemon comparison.

I really love the ps1, it may be my favorite console of all time. I got it at a tough time in my life and it had the best turn based rpgs ever. Squaresoft released hit after hit and many other developers had great games as well.

Awesome! My older brother introduced the game to me and it holds a special place in my gaming library for that reason

Same here. PS1 and my cat at the time. Mine was Monster Rancher 2, if I remember right.
