You have to be one of the BEST gerbil owners I have ever seen! Your gerbils are SO SO SO lucky to have such a fortunate home! I have two gerbils called Omlet and Steve and they are currently kept in quite a medium cage but I’m now trying to get what you’ve got!

I love this! I would recommend using at least 6 inches of bedding ( I use about 10) I use megazorb from amazon as bedding

@@alanagabrielle3422 I have two 3 year old gerbils (omlèt - ginger and white. Kimchí - grey and white). I have a ,large detour cage 😊

just so u know, build alot in heights, gerbils love to dig in the bedding to so have deep bedding for them♡

i really like ur gerbil set up i would reccomend layering their digging area with shaving hay etc as its better for their tunnels and personally i would go deaper in the digging area but ur set up is lovely

I’d advise against the Snowflake bedding: it uses softwood and this can cause respiratory distress and infection. If you want to use wood, aspen is a good and safe alternative.

@@itzelissatho4498I use a carefresh bedding. It has no dust and its a kinda fibre thing. It’s expensive but worth the price 👍🏻

Where do you get all of the wood hideouts? I can’t find many drift wood or wood houses at all

I find most of my hideouts either from amazon or pets at home and some of them are from reptile areas in pet stores.

@@petfam5074 so glad theirs a youtuber that owns gerbils in the uk haha can i use mesh from the range to use as a lid?

@@itzelissatho4498 I use d a thin mesh kinda thing and stapled it to wooden planks in a rectangle to make my lids 👍🏻 (Make sure the holes are small so gerbils can’t try escape and get stuck )

Detolf is 163x43x37cm. Wicked setup btw :). If you have problems with the sides bowing out (over time) under the weight of the bedding, attach a bar or some steel wire across the 2 rails in the centre of the cage. Make sure it doesn't rest on the ends of the Detolf or that'll cause the floor to bow down too (PetFam hasn't, as you can just about see). Btw, is Snowflakes dust extracted?

I have a question how do The gerbils get over the divisor like is there a hole that they can go through or do they just like climb over it? I need to know some of this information because I’m getting one soon!

Hi! can you please do a video on how to breed guinea pigs like the proccess and the dos and the don'ts cause i really want to breed mine (dont come at me for it ) but i just love taking care of animals and i do want to be a veterinarian when im older so i think it'll be a good experience and i have found homes for the babies when they have gotten older so i was just wondering if you could share some of your research notes and tips.
