Ok so it grills awesome.....it smokes even better .........and now you guys are saying it can turn into a griddle????? This thing is the real deal ....I absolutely LOVE mine.....it not the most heavy duty thing In the world but for the price you guys are RIGHT ON ...best bang for the buck

How do you keep a constant heat source on the griddle if the door is open?

Hi Pete! The fan will only kick off at any temperature above 500F - so it will maintain a constant Temperature of 500F or anything below.

No, the griddle is an integrated part of the 800 and the grill was designed with it in mind.

Is there an electrical setting for the griddle or is it charcoal as well?

@@user-lv6fr9ty6c The heat source is still charcoal. You remove the grates and change out the manifold to the heat riser that comes with the griddle.
