8:57 QUESTION - When you use that bottom left spin there, the left aspect of the spin makes it so that you have to compensate for squirt (cue ball squirts towards the right) and throw (object ball gets thrown towards the right) in aiming, right?... So you'd have to aim a little towards the left on the object ball (to still get the straight shot), right? And if you were traveling a long distance between the cue ball and object ball, you'd even have to compensate for cue ball curve (cue ball curves back towards the left after squirting towards the right), especially if the butt of your cue stick was elevated some (if not using draw), right? Just trying to confirm that I am understanding how this stuff works. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You're a really good player and teacher, but you should consider setting up the camera so it's an overhead view of the table.

Lakshya Garg of course. Depending what shot u playing. If u screwing the ball then the side will be reversed. Ie bottom left will make the cue ball come back and kick to the right. Reverse side. This kid is ok but he really doesn’t know enough of the game. Snookers my game but cue control in snooker has to be more precise than pool. Then u have reverse spin of more than one cushion which I don’t think I could explain properly. Watch snooker players for cue control and the key to every shot u play is timing. This kid never mentions that

you just have to compensate for it and you need self practice for that.

I'm struggling with my back spin. I tried being parallel to the table but it didn't work. Ball just followed through or stopped. But when I hit the cue ball at an angle it spun back. Loose grip and follow through on the shot. Just takes practice to get a feel for it. This to me is the most important english/spin to know how to do if you want to be a legit pool player.

You make good videos, and I think you have a lot of talent. You're going to be a great player if you stick with it. I just want to add some constructive criticism for shots like this, if you don't mind. Your advice regarding a player needing an extremely loose wrist for power draw shots is not good advice. In fact I think it can be detrimental to developing players. A relaxed wrist is fine. A slight wrist snap can also work very well. But a very loose, floppy wrist is bad mechanics, unless you spend years and years developing a stroke with a floppy wrist where you can replicate that action consistently. Bustamante's stroke is a good example of this. But the wrist technique you are demonstrating is even floppier than his. The straighter your stroke is, and the better your cue alignment (I don't mean aim, alignment and aim are two very different things) is, the better you will stroke the cue ball, and the less effort is required. Even with a completely static wrist you can still generate a ton of power. On power spin shots I myself use a slight wrist snap. But really it's all in the cueing action. A slight wrist snap can absolutely help you generate power, but I feel it's really important to point out the difference between a very loose and floppy wrist vs. slight wrist action. If you want proof, watch snooker players. A lot of them use hardly any wrist action whatsoever and they can draw (or 'screw' as they call it) the cue ball back on very long shots with ease. Rather than loose wrists, quite a few snooker players (and some pool players) use a grip called the 'butterfly grip', which is where you completely open up the back two or three fingers on the backstroke, which allows you to pull your cue back with no interference, and then 'close' them back up on the forward stroke. Anyways, I don't mean any offense, different things work for different people. I just think on this one particular issue regarding the wrist, you are teaching something that is counterproductive, and overall a bad habit for amateur players who still developing their strokes.

You should really focus on staying down in the shot position. On your power draw shots you lift your head and torso even before the cue strikes the ball, this dramatically affects your accuracy and makes straight cue delivery difficult. No offence, just a tip for steadier improvement in your game.

Having a smooth rhythm of your cueing and follow through. Feel that you're aiming straight then you'll be able to play better. Let your cue do the work. Don't try to force . Hitting it hard doesn't mean the ball will travel more

I don't hate you, I just think you need to work on your shit first before giving advice, because if talk is all you are good for, then you might as well add, to stroke your cue as straight as possible. The how and the why is most important. Can you even explain why your elbow dropped, let alone the disadvantages and why and how to remedy it? Got a million wannabee virtual instructors now and drill masters, yet the same small handful of pros. Now why is that?
