Very impressive and informative video and explanation of the thumb release and your take on it my brother . i been thinking for a while now to try them .i been using the norm , the wrist type trigger release . i shoot really really good with them , i am very consistent and my ability to recreate shot after shot consistency and "re-peata bility "is off the chain ! .i always believe just like in martial arts training , to stay loose and dont ever flex or activate your muscles until the very end of the punch .this keeps muscles from burning untimely energy , so you have more energy to last . with my wrist release , i keep all muscle tension out of the equation by using my wrist and the strap to draw and hold for that perfect steady on target shot and at the very end , i get my trigger finger on the trigger and for the most perfect shots i pull from my elbow and let my finger naturally pull the trigger.it works for me my brother because i am able to repeat these shots over and over again ! . i think your technique is awesome ,it works for you evidently , years of training has proved that .i think a lot of youtubers could learn a valuable lesson from you , even , especially that short dude with the big truck , expensive equipment ,tall man attitude from hell , and know it all , we all know of the retard im talking about right ? lol . you are a beast my brother ,your explanations , techniques , and humble mannerisms , personality and love for the sport and hunt are what separates you from the rest . KEEP ON , KEEPING ON , NO REASON TO EVER MODIFY OR CHANGE THE WAY YOU DO THINGS BECAUSE THEY WORK SO WELL FOR YOU !!!! I AM PROUD TO BE A SUBSCRIBER OF YOURS MY FRIEND , YOU AND YOUR TEAM/FAMILY ARE ALWAYS AWESOME NO MATTER WHAT YOU ALL ARE DOING , THANK YOU FOR SERVICE MY BROTHER !!!!

I have a Carter Wise Choice and I really like it. I ended up going back to an index release because I felt a little more comfortable and consistent. I'll have to try your technique and see if I like it better.

Personally, regardless of the release I'm using, I like to stick my pointer finger, first knuckle right behind my jawbone right under my ear, then I put my thumb over the button gently and start pulling back through my shot. I try to avoid commanding my shot at all, and just let my hand's ergonomics decide when it is going off that that has worked out super good for me.

Bought one 40 years ago. Put an arrow into the wall of my neighbors house. Never forget the look on his face when I ask him if he had any more green paint.🤣

I have a SERIOUS case of target panic. I'm shooting the Solution 20 right now, real back tension. I just ordered a Carter EZ to try and change to thumb trigger for hunting. Doing a search on that release brought up this video. Good tips. Has the clicking noise of closing the jaw on the loop ever spooked animals? Reason I went with the EZ was the open hook, no noise hook up.
