This is why the school system fails us spanish speakers. They teach us how to translate it. They teach us how to read Spanish, but translate in English. I love the Spanish language, and I plan to pursue it, but i need to get this issue. Thanks for the video

I have taken Spanish my entire life. Including two semesters for my undergraduate degree. For my graduate degree I was taking Latin. And one of the things that the professor said was to think in the language that you're learning. That one concept was probably the advice I needed the entire time.

I’m so confused. I thought here And there was aqui alli and something else (sorry about the spelling). How do you learn more natural ways of saying things that they don’t teach in school. I’m in Spanish 2 and we’ve never gone over the use of para also meaning over here when combined with the word for here in Spanish. Also the entire message you wrote had like three words i haven’t learned and I’m worried Spanish 3 won’t cover that all. Are you just using more advanced vocabulary? or do I need to get an app for extra help?

I'm struggling to get past pausing when I'm speaking, because I am afraid of making a gramatical mistake or get the preterit vs imperfect wrong. My friend told me to forget about it if you make a mistake. Just talk. It's better to talk and make a mistake without pausing, than keep pausing. What do you think? How did you get past that stage?

Another tip; when using translation tools, avoid copy/paste. Force yourself at all cost to type out every word and double-check each word thrice! This has helped me greatly by forcing me to pronounce words and sentences aloud many times (till I get it right). Memorizing spelling and grammar is VERY time-consuming if you don't want to make mistakes, it's much easier to paste (I know). Never-the-less, I invite you to consider these additional minutes as an investment in your learning. Immersion is the fastest way to conformity.

OAN: why does everyone say he talks to fast when you can literally change the speed on the video with 2-3 taps of a button. Also: do you think you can add Spanish subtitles to your videos instead of just English ? I have been doing one language for audio and the opposite for the subtitles so I think it would help on your videos.
