I'm a Yoga Therapist & you're spot on with your video's. I love that you're adding breathing, psoas importance, etc to understand these benefits. If I wasn't so healthy and already doing good self-care, I would totally come to you for therapy. Way to go sharing with the public great info! Thanks for your tips!

Blake- I find your videos very informative. However, given the limitations on my hip mobility some of the stretches are not possible. Can you provide modifications in your instruction for those that do not have the range of motion that you are demonstrating in the video? Thank you!

I have a very flat spine with one leg shorter than the other, tight hip flexors, tight low back. I also have a slight curve to the left in my low back and forward neck that developed from a straight neck lacking natural backward curve. The flexor stretches really help. I’ve been doing hip bridges for quite a while to strengthen my glutes. Not sure what to do to reintroduce the natural curve in my spine and neck. The only thing I know of is isometric exercises lengthening the head and pressing the back of the head into the floor with a rolled towel under my neck to maintain curve as I strengthen. But what do I do for my mid back, low back and between shoulder blades? My upper back rolls forward a little with a very flat mid upper back between shoulder blades.

Would you make a video for internal rotation. I can't get my right leg past straight forward when trying to internally rotate it. At rest it is externally rotated a little. I appreciate your videos, they are helping me get my core and glutes strong again.

Aloha! I just stumbled on your page and your video's are really awesome and informative ! I'm struggling with an FAI impingement with a small labral tear of my right hip. I get back pain and hip pain almost every time I try to train jujitsu or box... I am lost in what is the best rehab process... I have tried to strengthen the hips external , internal work, etc... but it seems if I don't keep up the routine 5+ days a week my hip and back pain come straight back. I feel like there are so many re-hab routines I am feeling lost and don't know which route to go. Any advice would be awesome... I am seriously considering getting the FAI impingement surgery if I can't figure out a way to live pain free!

Great content! Very helpful and concise. One question...the constructive rest position...is there a reason why you go with bent knees over bench or up a wall vs just laying flat with legs straight? thank you.
@GuerrillazenFitness
@GuerrillazenFitness Жыл бұрын
Yes, when your legs are extended and not resting on something then there will be tension in psoas and it will be hard for it to let go of its grip...the feet elevated portion of this is very important :)

When I do one-legged hip bridges, my left glute will not engage. It feels like something is holding that side of my hip back from letting my left glute work properly.

I have an anterior pelvic tilt. I am not able to tilt my pelvic backward. I am not able to get my back straight while doing these exercises for hip flexors. It seems like I have lost control of my lower abdominal area. Can you suggest something to improve control on the lower abdominal area?

Quick question. When I go from sitting to getting up, I have acute pain on the side of my knee. What is that and are there any stretches for it?
@GuerrillazenFitness
@GuerrillazenFitness Жыл бұрын
Couldn't possibly say what that is...I will say IT band tightness is a common cause of issues on the side of the knee and I have a few videos on that including one I uploaded this spring. :)
