@@JoeyLovesTrains No issues drove it daily for 3 years afterwards, then summer drove it another year before selling the car. Ended up building the motor and putting a TVS 1320 on it a year before I sold the car. Still running fine with the new owner, we keep in touch

Since it was based on the Gen II block, I would say yes. Manifold should bolt on, same with IC Pump bracket, pulleys and idlers etc. Tuning will obv be different from an L61, is the LAP VVT?

Change to a smaller pulley. Re-tune for more fuel. Upgrade your injectors if you have to. I went from a 3.1" pulley to a 2.9". You need 60# injectors for a 2.9" pulley or smaller, the 42# won't provide enough under high boost. Exhaust mods help, improve your air intake etc. Anything beyond that you're looking at valve work, porting your head, intake manifold and blower... cams to improve duration etc.

No calibration needed it will simply provide a more accurate temperature reading post-supercjarger as opposed to in the air intake tube. When you're tuning and you select Supercharger Equipped = Enabled, it takes care of the backend for you in the algorithms and table connections for the ECM. It's all built in. Make sure you enable that setting.... will also make your ecm look for higherbarometric pressures from the MAP sensor. Stock GM TMAP sensor will give you plenty of room to work with.

If you have a 2.2 then yes because these parts will fit onto an L61 block. Some companies such as ZZP won't be able to do your tune since it's a 2003, but if you can find a local source then you should be good to go

My friend boosted his 2003 2.2L. Similar idea to this, you need to use a different throttle body because yours is cable and the cobalt/ion/g5 is electronic. JBody forums has lots of info on it for you

Turbo it. But you need to build your bottom end those na 2.3 lima engines will not hold boost. You'll melt your pistons over like 8psi from what I've heard. I've had 2 thunderbird turbo coupes, very familiar with those 2.3s

CARLOS EMMANUEL RUVALCABA DIAZ yes. You need to use the GM reflash for a tune though unless you do standalone. You are cable throttle driven so the electronic info in this doesn't apply to your built. Look up the cavalier 2.2 builds they'll have your vacuum line routing and throttle body info. Believe you can upgrade yours to an ls1 throttle body to an m62 blower if you buy an adapter plate

It was a stock M62 from a Cobalt SS, or Ion Redline. Roots style blower. Intercooler is build into the intake manifold, flows through the 4 cores inside the intake manifold. Dual pass endplate to speed up the flow. 2 head exchangers up front. Liquid cooling system (mimicing the Cobalt SS setup but with some upgrades). Plus the Option B tank bleeds air much better than stock setup.

Braden Bach the parts will fit yes. But your tune would need to be standalone since you're 2006 and under. ZZP only offers tuning for the 2007 and up same with other major tuning sources like trifecta (I don't think they offer it anymore for ecotec). But if you can find a local tuner first, then I'd look into doing the build after

Braden Bach depends on the tuner! Usually around 300. Can be up to 500 if you have to unlock using special software like HP tuners

Perfectly fine. Put 27000kms it with the 2.7 pulley and meth injection. 17psi. Tore the motor apart last year to do a full build, zero signs of any damage. Even was able to reuse the main bearings and rod bearings. They were mint still. Videos this spring of new setup. TVS1320 blower on a 2.6 pulley. BRFPR fuel system and meth, stage 3+ clutch. 23psi and rotated mounts/solid bushings. Fun platforms to build!

The TMAP diagram is on the far left (LSJ sensor). The OEM MAP is the same as the one on the upper right. Depending on your year, your car may not have an IAT sensor. My 2007 L61 does not have an IAT (lower right sensor in the diagram I linked to you). This temp reading comes from the MAF sensor in my car, so replace IAT in that diagram with the temp wire from the MAF and you're good to go.

i have a 2004 sunfire. do you have a mass air flow on your Ion our its just your TMAP that send the info to the ECU

You should have the set-up that's in the diagram I sent you then. A MAF sensor for pressure, and an IAT sensor for temperature. Should be able to follow that diagram then and send your TMAP reading to your ECU by splitting into the IAT wire which pins into your ECU. Don't touch the low reference wire in your IAT only split into the sensor signal (tan wire)

Close to mine but you have Cable-controlled throttle body whereas mine is electronic. Plus you have an IAT sensor so you'll need to split your TMAP temperature reading into your IAT harness for your computer to recognize it. I have a MAF sensor yours does not. Look up the ultimate J-body build guide. Tonnes of good info for the cavaliers. And for tune, you can use the GM re-flash from the dealer.
