Learn to Tig weld following these simple steps
Hopefully given a little bit of time and patience you can teach yourself to Tig following these simple instructions. It can be quite tricky but trust me when I say it suddenly clicks and it’s the best feeling ever.

Useful, thank you. I bought a TIG machine specifically to weld aluminium, but it is certainly good for steel too. My experience is that TIG is neater than MIG on steel. But I’m only a raw beginner. Again, thanks, I enjoy your channel and watching your skills in play. Les

After using MIG for years, I am amazed how tiny the TIG weld is. Your video shows it very clearly. I will have to change my mindset. Thanks.

Tom, Great videos. As an old fart at 68 who started welding & brazing with acetylene many decades ago and then moving on to MIG. I have now got a TIG set up and I found this video very helpful as I found the fusion welding easier than adding wire but this could be due to coordination or lack of it 🤣😂my biggest issue is keeping the tip out of the weld pool and the tip at the correct distances is there some kind of longer half nose cap or something I use to steady my hands 🤔 Cheers Dave

Great intro, Tom. I started welding about a year ago, and the best advice I had was to put in time “under the hood”. For the first 4 months I tried to weld every day, even if for just 15 minutes. I burned through a bunch of steel, but it went a long way toward getting comfortable with the equipment and techniques. Cheers!

Another great video Tom everything you say makes complete sense so easy to follow your tutorials. I am now thinking of buying one of those combined Mig/Tig welders. Thanks for posting this video.

Cheers Steve. Thanks for the feedback. Personally I wouldn’t get a combined machine. I think the downside is when something goers wrong with it it impacts the whole machine And on this one the fan is so noisy. On a positive note it’s take up less room and does weld nice. Difficult decision really
