Chris Heria, founder of ThenX *highly* recommends weighted calisthenics in the beginning. Paired with correct form and training for a while, unweighted moves become a lot easier and harder techniques become easier to learn.

@@gustavovasconcelos2049 I actually think fake weights don't matter for him. Since for explaining exercises a low weight is easier to show what he wants to show and still have full control and breath to talk. Of course it's kinda stupid but he doesn't get any benefit out of it and for the viewer it doesn't really change anything since he still knows what he's talking about

The close-grip chin-up has been my favorite for years. You can really stress the chest and biceps with this move. 1 1/2 reps make it even more intense. I tuck the knees, too. 1 second up and 3 down is a nice variation, too. I don't often incorporate the archer cliffhanger pull-up, just every once-in-a-while. I didn't know about it in this great of detail. Gonna start working on it more! Keep up the awesome work, guys! Thanks for the info!

I get a chest pump from narrow grip chins too lol I think it’s cause my chest is fighting to keep my arms close together? Kinda like the adductor in a narrow stance squat. I’m not sure if it’s building mass cause I train all parts of my chest but I definitely get a pump and feel my chest working.

Thank you for that great video. I always habe this discussion Ehen I talk with people about climbing and I suggest additional training for the back and shoulders because the chest gets more exercise than the back and there is is the risk getting the typical round shoulders man climbers have.

Great video. I think you forgot to talk about muscle line of pull. At the beginning of the video you showed a push up shoulder movement pattern (shoulder flexion+protraction+thoracic flexion). Although the origin and insertion of the pecs moved closer apart, the Pecs can *significantly contribiute* only at max shoulder extension due to the line of pull of the pecs being horizontal back to front. Thats why a dummbell bench press is slightly better then a push up when it comes to chest development and strengthening. 😃
