This video is a troubleshooting video to help users of the RixCanDoIt Transfer Paper to transfer images the right way. We will cover what issues you may run into due to improper application and how to remedy it.

What white paint should be used. Thanks. I need the white background. Great videos great help.

I just use white spray paint. I've used Enamel and Acrylic, no difference. Watch my wood slice videos for more on white paint. I prefer to carefully spray paint the image itself before 'gluing' to surface rather than painting surface. You just need to make sure you don't apply it wet. Spray about 2 feet away so the paint tends to flash dry as it hits the image is best. Wetness can cause premature image release as the paper is moisture activated. 🙂

I would like to use his paper on ceramic plates. Is this method food safe?

The transfer itself is not meant to be eaten off of. If you want food safe, this will depend on what you SEAL the image and plate with. Food safe sealing is not something I have experience with, so you'll have to do your research on that, such as food safe epoxy or whatever can seal ceramic and is dishwasher safe and food safe.

I would love to get my hands on your paper so checked out your website in the hope of placing an order. Alas, I'm in UK and not prepared to risk getting hit with extra taxes etc. Was hit recently for an extra £73 which put me right off so never again. It's such a shame coz USA has so many excellent art & craft products. Have you considered exporting to UK, like having just one exclusive seller? There's a fantastic, reputable, well-established store called Jackson's Art Supplies run by a great, very approachable team. I have contacted them in the past suggesting non-UK products, next thing I know the new products are available on their website! Just a thought. Anyhoo, really good video Rix. Thank you.

I have some in UK that reorder. So I'm not sure what these "extra taxes" are you refer to. They would not reorder if that was the case ordering the paper. Also ship to Australia and other countries. Since I don't have a manufacturing plant or mass producing machine, there would be no way I could sell from other outlets anywhere. This is all home-made, by hand, slow tedious process. Cheers!

@@MissIdolize I'm not doubting you, I'm just saying that no one has ever said anything to me about it and keep ordering. Personally, if I was being hit with taxes like that I would not be ordering either. But they buy over and over again to UK and AUS. Perhaps it is a EURO thing. You purchased from Poland and I'm in the US. Anyway, we all have to do what we have to do. There is no fault in either decision. Cheers!

You can use almost any adhesive, although I personally think Matte Gel Medium gives the best results. And yes, glass or any surface that you can glue paper on will work for transfers.

Sure. If you want to send me the leather piece I will test it. I don't have anything made of leather that I'd want to put an image on here. Also, I don't know if glue will stick to leather without testing it. So if you have a leather piece to test with, then email me for address to send. 🙂
