fun fact about the thief Meister abilities. the fake one he gives you that blows you up and lights you on fire can be combined with the second one to avoid the self harm entirely and just do a big attack that does a ton of damage.

For the mystic spearhand: you can also kill the dragon in melve when you return there for the fighter scroll. You can kill it by running straight to the balista tower in the back and shoot the dragon with the balista on top. It will try to escape but you can shoot it out of the sky. When it’s dead, you can loot an awesome weapon from it for the mystic spearhand and the vocation reacher will give you the needed scroll right after he gives you the vocation.

Apparently, if you don't win the duel against Beren your affinity will be a bit lower than required by the end of the quest line, so you need to either gift him something or do his escort quest to prompt him to give you the skill scroll. If he doesn't give it immediately, he should eventually move back to Borderwatch Outpost and he'll give it to you there.

I put 1300 hours on the first game when it was ported to the Switch, so far the game has me hooked just like the first one did, obviously the low frames and lack of fov on PS5 are the only negatives, i love the vertical exploration and as a Assassin/Strider main i am loving playing as Thief. This is exactly what i wanted from the sequel

If you continued the quest before doing lennarts tasks, he will give you his master skill later on on vulcanic island in the bath

For Sorcerer, you can find two grimoires in the Waterfall Cave near Melve, with one being a second copy of Nation's Death Knell that I'm aware of. It does require a bit of thorough exploration that has you up against a chimera and then a wight. So be sure to be strong and have a strong party to face up against those two challenges.

Note about some of these skills. Most are tied to affinity with a specific person while others seem to be simple quest rewards. Fighter seems to be affinity based but there are some main quests that'll help boost your relationship with him. Warrior seems to also be affinity based. Completing his quest might not always reward you with his skill; just gift him a few items (recommended swords) or if you're lucky; he'll ask you to join him on an escort mission for that little extra. Sorc has 2 skills both affinity based and both have quest lines as explained in video. Note the little girl only needs 3/5 books but the more you give, the better the affinity. (Does not matter which books you give her). Also, her dad, the man you give the other books to, also has an escort mission in case you don't have enough affinity for the scroll. Mage is tied to sorc but be cautious. On my playthrough, a cyclops spawned in an area the old lady walks to and killed her. Archer is another affinity based but probably has the most quest for you to acquire affinity. Helping the elf in Vermund starts it all but if you don't get the scroll from papa elf, don't worry because his daughter has a quest for you and both son and daughter have escort quests. Note, the quests for the princess are a bit long. Thief also has 2 and is technically tied to the main story quest but both skills feel like they're just quest rewards. Mystic Spear can be obtained right after entering Battahl, just get to his location where he's fighting the herp dragon (and win)

I cant remember where I found it but I found a second "The Nation's Death Knell" somewhere in the world. I have a theory about where but I have no meams to confirm it rn because I'm not even close to finishing the game. That aside i had two in my storage and that matters because there is a questline that you can complete by returning the grimoire from whence it came. There is a quest you can start at night in the ancient battleground that requires that book and the reward is a mystic spearhand weapon the Infernal Edge. At any rate I have no recollection of where exactly I got the spellbook but I remember the first place in particular where I got grimoires as valuables and thats the waterfall cave near the beginning of the game. The cave is near one of the first campsites you'll run into. Its the quest where you leave Melve with a knight to make for the capital, and theres a little tent station where he mentions the oxcart was SUPPOSED to be and you start making your way to the capital on foot. In that cave there is an ornate chest that contains two grimoires and a lich type enemy. I distinctly remember this as I was only lvl 11 and was not equipped to fight the thing but ended up winning and finding some powerful thief daggers and mage robe for my level. Could someone confirm the grimoire can be found here? Otherwise I have NO idea where I found the other one. Edit: also, I would return to this cave AFTER the knight leaves your company. When you find the oxcart you can deny his request to join them on the cart and go off on your own. When you return later the knights amd the cart will be in the same place so you can ride with them if you want. This is what I did, because I went to the cave before with the knights in tow and they died to the enemies in the cave causing something to happen with the MSQ, so I reverted to my last Inn save and learned a hard lesson for it.

For magic archer there's a wandering npc outside battahl (where you first enter) who sell the mask aswell.

i did beren questline to full n only got flowers, so i did his escort mission hoping to get it after i raised his affinity. ( i did this with Taliesin and he gave me the scroll ) beren straight up disappeared and its only humphrey at berens childhood house, i dont even know why hes there. would there be anyother place beren might appear?

There are 3 other bottles of Newt liquor, so you don't need the Mask of Beastren... but it makes it way way easier.

For the warfarer vocation you can just forge 3-4 of the drink he needs instead doing everything else. Talk to him again right after getting the class and youll get the skill.

I found his house and talk to him and didn’t receive the Warriors. Scroll so I did his escort mission went back to his house he wasn’t there and then I read that if I saved, went to the title screen and then reloaded it could fix it and thankfully that worked for me so if anyone has that problem with him disappearing go to the house save go to the titlescreen and just reload your save hopefully that helps

1:30 While the reqeusitions are right its wrong that Lennart gives you the Meister Skill after the dragon fight. In order to get it you have to increase his relationship with gifting odd material for example goblin horns. Sleep and gift him those until he gives you the Meister Skill.

The quest with the dwarf that needs escort to the hotspring is bugged for me. I died whilst on the contraption that can take you to the excavation site, and now he either despawnd or is in an area that I'm not in. No, it does not say I have failed the quest. The marker is in the hotsprings still but not the dwarf npc, I tried speaking with the elf, but she says the same thing as when you accept the quest from the dwarf. If anybody has any tips please let me know.

I threw Sigurd off the cliff during dragon fight. Revived him at the Morgue, gave him 5 Goblin Horns for affinity and BOOM: got the maister, just like with Lennart.

Somehow I have come to possess 2 of the "nation's death knell" grimoires, and also have 1 copy of every book without having traded with the woman in the nameless village, so it's highly likely you do not have to counterfeit any of the books to complete both the mage and sorcerer maister quests. Where these additional copies might be found, however, I do not know.

I just buy 99 grapes and apples in melve, travel to checkpoint and let them all ripen and sell them to the beastran vendor(for some reason he buys them for extra gold) nets me about 32k gold per stack of 99

Then he was standing at my house in Battahl and wanted me to escort him to Vernworth. After that he was max rep(Blushing), gave me flowers and still no scroll and I don't know where he is now.

I tried looking to see if I had heavenly shot because i went all the way through the elven questline and don't remember if I went out of my way to go talk to the elf to get it. I have the maister for thief but I'm already max vocation and didn't think about the possibility of the maister skill being locked behind max vocation until thinking about it. Just curious if anyone knew or if I'm just screwed and will have to get it some other way or on a different play through. thanks.
