Make sure you watch NQ & ES side by side. The OB’s that seem in the middle, are purely formed by institutional buying caused by a break of structure or change of character (if that’s what you’re referring to). If you watch ES & NQ together, majority of the price movements are caused by either ETF converted strikes, OB’s/FVG’s, VWAP, or value areas. The very infrequent times a significant move occurs that wasn’t pre identified by the indicator on ES or NQ is either YM or major market news which is also useful to watch once you grow comfortable with watching ES & NQ side by side.

Awesome glad you find helpful! So for the starting level you can use anything and just change it as needed on those days we get really big moves. It’ll do that level and +/-8 from whatever you set. During volatile periods we’ll sometimes start at 370 or something and then move all the way up to 380 or down to 360, at which point I change change the starting level to whatever the price is at, at that time. For trading SPY I actually still use the ES & NQ charts. It’s the same exact price action and since it will automatically show you the SPY levels and VWAP, with the added benefit of seeing the ES VWAP & prices. So you get a much better picture being able to have all the data on the same chart. If you just want to use SPY’s chart, then I would turn off the converted levels and just use the SMC/HTF levels. You can even just use sonarlabs multi time frame levels and sonarlabs SMC or LuxAlgo SMC instead of my indicator since those do the same stuff without the converted levels which play no part if you are only looking at the ETF chart directly.

Thanks! Timeframe is your choice really, I prefer 1m or 3m. I use periodic volume profile & talk about how I like to set them up in my volume price analysis series about volume profile. I do check the Tradytics gamma levels to get an idea of what the big ones will be, but keep every strike plotted. The BoS means Break of Structure which is trend continuation and creates an OB. A change of a character (CHoCH) is trend change and also creates an OB. I go into detail about this concepts in part 1 of my trade plan series & are critical for properly playing OB’s and FVG’s. I packed everything into this indicator so even people with free TView can use it, however Tview keeps removing it. They want me to split it into 3 indicators which would mean you’d need at least Pro if you want to use regular volume and volume profile with it 😢.

You can still use it for that, however I would disable the converted levels since they have no impact for anything but ES/NQ/RTY/YM. You can disable them by clicking the styles tab and unchecking ETF_VWAP, starting level & the plus/minus levels 1-8 that way the other stuff is still available & the useless stuff won’t show up.

Yup I have a trade recap coming tomorrow using nothing but the indicator and the concepts it shows. The starting price in the input tab should be adjusted to reflect the current price of SPY, that’s how it knows which levels above and below to map out. So if SPY opens close to 395 for instance in the pre market, I’ll go into the settings & select SPY & put the starting price at 395.

You can! However if you plan to just trade those, I would simply add the sonarlabs Multi time frame indicator and the LuxAlgo SMC indicator (shown in my tradingview ban video) then you can configure them to match what I showed in this video.

Hey I haven't had a chance to get around to it, it keeps slipping my mind. I was a bit demoralized after the second Tview ban so I haven't written anything with it lately. I'll try to get to it soon, there are some other fixes that I need to include as well. Definitely check out the LuxAlgo indicator and considering using my published level conversions one separate (www.tradingview.com/script/je3riwOi-Convert-ETF-to-Futures-Index/ ), they may have already enabled that change on there's, which was the source for that part of the code.

Awesome glad you like it! They shouldn't be changing though based on time frame, are you seeing the order blocks change or is it the white levels? The white levels will be constant (ETF GEX levels), it takes a diff of the ETF and the future instrument and plots a moving average. However, the order blocks will change based on time frame.

Hey I see what you're referring to. So I've traditionally disabled it on higher time frame because it tries to calculate every candle as far back as it can see. It gets thrown off when it starts the calculation too far back in time because there is a lot of slippage that occurs, so it's really meant to show where ETF hedging will occur on lower time frames. If you want to check the calculation manually to ensure its at the right place, divide the current futures price by the current ETF price to get your difference value, then multiply the ETF gamma strikes by this value (e.g. 394, 395, 396, 397, etc. * 10.03 for instance) to confirm the lines are in the right place. If you notice them being off, let me know and it might take me setting a starting point of the conversion (which would also probably solve the higher time frame problem).

@@FattyTrades Thanks! I checked the values for the 1, 3, and 5 minute and they were equal. The 10 minute was slightly different, by about.25 or .50. The higher the time frame, the difference became larger. 30 minute was $1 difference. 2 hr was $2.5 difference.

I use Tradovate, micro size varies. I use more based on confidence level. For instance, if we are bullish character and price is pulling n back into a bullish OB that created an FVG that corresponds with a volume profile ledge and a gamma level, that gives me 5 reasons to take the trade so I’ll open 10 contracts (2 for each reason) & set profit targets at areas above, closing the contacts as we reach various targets. I have a recap coming tomorrow to demonstrate how I’ve been using it. I primarily use a funded account with Tradovate as my broker (and integrate with tradingview but I don’t open my positions in tradingview, just for broker data integration because the bracket system is lacking).

I thought that we could change the colors individually in the styles tab but it only lets us to do line style/width which is weird. Anyway, I’ll have a fix out ASAP.

Yes exactly, really that’s all it is with the difference being a zone vs a line. Also often referred to as supply and demand. I prefer order blocks over standard S/R lines but I will draw S/R lines in the area that created a first OB on a higher time frame and then OB’s where we get trend combinations. Both methods are valid and useful.

From what I’ve been hearing, the indicator gets buggy when you don’t have futures data available and you are viewing lower time frames. Can you confirm which futures contracts you are viewing when it happens (apparently ES1/NQ1 are problematic. If you have a futures broker, make sure you’re connected to them and you are viewing ESZ2022, NQZ2022 or its micros variant. Keep me posted!

I connected to my broker (Trade Station) and now everything seems to be working just fine. Previously, I was not connected to my broker and the problems appeared (indicator not showing) while looking at ES1 and NQ1 charts. Now, life is good! Thank you for your help!

Awesome glad to hear it! Yeah that’s the key, to make sure you pull that data from your broker or buy data independently if you don’t have a futures brokers.

Hmm I didn’t experience that myself, I always do the 1m time frame. How far were you zoomed out? Try just positioning the day on the chart and let me know what happens. I’m going to post an update soon to add the ability to change line colors so I’ll see if I can increase bar limits as well. Also, we’re you using the default settings or did you increase anything?

May be the reason 1 min did not work for futures that I did not subscribe to trading view real time quotes for futures. Dont see any other reason.

That’s really strange. I packed this indicator with a ton of features and tradingview does have limits (I think because they make money by putting limits on the indicators allowed on a chart). I tried to add in volume profile but couldn’t get it to support enough data inputs so I’m near max capacity with what we can do. Anyway, point is keep me posted if it happens again, I do think I can raise bar limits despite the other limitations I’ve run into.

@@FattyTrades I just have 3 indicators now. Tradytics GEX levels, this new indicator and Vol indicator. Now I have got same study error for 5 minutes and under in MES and MNQ too. These lines coming up for 15 minutes time frame properly. Either this is due to no data over the weekend or me not having real time data subscription for futures in tradingview. I am anyway going to take real time quotes subscription for futures in tradingview shortly and see if this works in 1 minute to 5 minute timeframe. Thank you!

It appears you need futures data in order to take advantage. You can purchase from your broker and link it to tradingview or purchase from tradingview. Yeah I can add those in on the indicator to make the label size adjustment, however I won’t be able to push to tradingview again, it’ll have to be downloaded from that GitHub link when I do 😓 for volume profile I use periodic volume profile set to the daily with value areas turned on (VAH is red, VAL is green) and PoC is yellow. Value area range is 70%. Some people use 68% but I prefer 70, it responds very well.

Yeah that's how I got your new indicator by copying and pasting it to tradingview so if you haven't add on for the font size I can do that. And I've seen and watch videos on the 68% level for value areas too what's the significance in that do you know?

If you change the font size can I give you access to the GitHub if you have a GitHub user? Just so the change is done for everyone. 68% is one standard deviation which a lot of people reference but I’ve seen 70% work countless times to the tick so I personally use 70%

So each of those white lines indicates a SPY level converted for you. I personally adjust the line thickness based on the amount of Gamma exposure. You can also adapt the code from his indicator to do the conversions by merging in my code where I grab the ETF price and divide it by the futures price to get the difference and multiply that by the SPY strikes.

@@FattyTrades do you use previous day gamma for opens? And when do you check for new gamma levels intraday?

I look gamma and vanna over before open keep an eye on them throughout the day since Tradytics updates real time

I was hoping to add it at some point for thinkorswim but if they have a smart money concepts indicator & an etf to futures levels indicator that does the conversion for you then it would work as a substitute. I don’t have any funds in an account with them so they removed my account altogether a few months ago.

It works, are you getting a study error if you hover over? I found that if you don’t have live futures data connected through your broker & are not using the real futures contracts such as ESZ2022, MNQZ2022, etc., it gives an error. Didn’t find this out until others started using it. The workaround I mentioned in the second half of my tradingview ban video also shows a workaround if you get an error.

I went through this video again. Its awesome.May be its good to put some text like entry level and exit levels as it is too much to remember and needs and educated guess to entry and exit. I feel there is much better way of representing this chart.
