Thanks! Super grateful for ICT's teachings, however they are long and sometimes the terminology used can be obscure if you haven't been with him since the beginning so I think there is some potential for combining data from Tradytics & Vol.land with a simpler breakdown of the smart money concepts he teaches.

Sure will do, it’s all the same stuff just instead of going down to 15m/5m/1m, just stop at 1h & trade on the 30m for instance, or whatever you feel comfortable trading. I’ll focus on identifying swing setups soon with charts, data and capitalizing on them with spreads

So we should leave mitigated fair value gaps on the charts at all time?

Mitigation depends on a few factors, once it has been breached & the halfway point has been closed below, mitigation is heavily favored. Also, once the we retest the boundaries and we fail to break above or below, that’s a great sign it’ll be fully mitigated. So if you see it get moved into and retrace, only to reject at the entry point, mitigation should be favored. It’s best to think of the boundaries of fair value gaps as very strong areas of support and resistance where the other side of the boundary is likely to be tested as long as the entry boundary is showing signs of holding. On lower time frames (like 1m/3m) you’ll see them form, get tested or mitigated very quickly on a retrace, then the move will continue which is a great entry point or confirmation to stay in.

@@FattyTrades yeah between all the time frames and possible fair value gaps and order blocks break of structures and change of characters charts can get really cluttered so if you want a 5-minute time frame best to just watch 15 hourly and 4 hour fair value gaps and not worry about the smaller time frame 13 or 5 minutes?

On the smaller time frames I mainly use them as entry confirmation when they get wick tested. And also keeping an eye out for equal highs/lows that form where liquidity rests that will likely become a target

I feel you but there are definitely worse. I hate how much tradingview lags when showing futures price delivery. I can’t monitor live trades in tradingview it has be done on the broker despite being linked.
