I’ve had a Delonghi superauto and it worked like a champ for 10 years. I miss the sound of that grinder in the morning, and would consider this one as a replacement.

Hi Isabelle, Thanks for the questions. You can save your preferences in your colour user profile. Here is the part of the video where I demonstrate selecting brew strength within the user profile - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eL9yn62itN26eGg.html Not every beverage offers an extra shot function. But, you can simply do this in two steps, make your latte, then brew a second shot of espresso afterwards in the same glass. Ciao for now.

Yeah, top review.. thanks for mentioning coffee pot feature. If i have to make a coffee for lets say 15 people i can put a pot under and hit 'Coffee pot' for 6 servings 2-3 times i guess

Have you tried out the new DiLonghi Eletta Explore yet? I like that it offers the cold drink options and an even more user friendly menu, but I'm curious how well it brews vs the DDP.

So I tried a decaf for the first time and it doesn't seem to work. I read the instructions and did as told: press the bean quantity until it shows the coffee scoop, press coffee (or long or espresso), when it shows the message I pour the ground coffee. Now according to the instructions I'm supposed to press OK but there is no such button. On other models you have to press the coffee icon so I do that but then it returns to the main menu. Is the machine supposed to detect that I poured the ground coffee ? If so I suppose I have a faulty sensor but I want to be sure I'm doing it right before I ask for a replacement/fix.

On the DeLonghi machine I find the setting 3.5 to 4 works best! Once you make the grinder adjustment, ensure to make about 3-5 espressos before you see the difference in results. The different grind needs to work its way thru the machine. Thanks for the question. Have a great day!

This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. kzfaq.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but I've read somewhere that the brew over ice function is only available on units sold in the US.... (?) If you're based outside of the US, that might be why you don't have it. I was curious about this too and have looked for an answer in the downloadable manuals on the De'Longhi website, but can't find any reference of it there either.

Your videos are great. Doe your firm ship to BC? I am looking to buy three super automatic units as Xmas gifts . I need a unit that has an included milk carafe. I am struggling between a Philips 4300 and 5400 and the Delonghi Dinamica. I think an extra shot and “auto rinse” would be nice features. Can you help me decide? Ice Coffee comes out as hot as any other drink, I manually change system settings to lowest temperature but then what’s the point of this preset?

Hi Ivane, I trust you have sourced the resolution for this. The settings for cold brew allow the unit to brew at a cooler temp. That is preset from the manufacturing level. The grinds go in a hopper behind espresso outlet, behind where you put the cup. It pulls out and your dump them.

I went to the store to see the machine in person, basically any coffee pot for 10 cups and less, the machine itself makes up to 6 cups

You would have to take the bottom tray out, there is drainer thing down there. I guess a normal pot would fit if removed bottom tray. Some average size cups don't even fit when making single drinks.

Hi Bob, good thinking. However, the bottom tray will need to be in place otherwise the sensor will not allow any beverages to be made. Any coffee pot or carafe will do as long as the height is not beyond 13 cm tall.

Hello, and thanks for the videos. how would you rate the in cup drinks vs the Philips lines ?? currently have a 3200 lattego and debating a upgrade, but not sure what will result in better taste, vs nice screen and more tweaks. thanks much for the time.my 3200 is working great, and has no issues. its over 2 years old. I would love a slick display, but if the results will be similar to what I have now, the $$$ could be saved

i had a philips !! and i regret a lot , it was possible to change it later for a delonghi! and its the Best ! always delonghi! its my advice , its my 2nd delonghi. the 1st last me for 7 years .. without any issue . the philips i had 3 problems in less then 3 months!

Hi Joel, Thanks for the comments and questions. DeLonghi's are great machines, they are known to make a hotter beverage and they have the best warranty package. This is not to say that Phillips does not produce hot beverages at all, just that many notice the DeLonghi's to be a bit hotter in the max temp setting. The grind setting as well as the type of beans used plays a large role in the end result. The Dinamica Plus compared to the 3200 has many more beverages to choose from, 16 vs 5 (compared to 3200). You can also connect a smart phone to the machine via the DeLonghi App. There is as you can see a digital display screen, and you can customize your beverages more so with the Dinamica Plus. Thsi model prepares 16 Barista-Style Beverages: Espresso, coffee, ice coffee, doppio, americano, caffé latte, cappuccinos, macchiato, flat white, long coffee for drip lovers, steamed hot milk, coffee pot. The true brew over ice would be the 'ice coffee' beverage. Brewing at a cooler temperature to ensure the flavour profile is not distorted by using too much ice while watering it down. Hi, thanks for your question. The machine offers 4 temperature settings from low, medium, high and max. I keep my machine on the max temperature setting. The machine does produce a lovely hot beverage. The carafe has a great feature as well where you can customize how much foam you want to perfect your milk-based beverages.

The Dinamica Plus makes: espresso, coffee, long, doppio+, coffee pot, over ice, cappuccino, latte macchiato, cappuccino+, cappuccino mix, hot milk, caffelatte, flat white, espresso macchiato, hot water. As there is no separate hot water spout that sits behind the coffee spout, you'd have to make the Americano in two steps. You will the brew a shot of espresso. Next, access a shot of hot water via the hot water panarello. Thanks!

Hi Ali, Yes, the machine has a 'bypass chute', that is used for preground coffee. The machines include a measured scoop to use for the bypass chute. Hi HarryHatzi, I have personally not seen this before. If you have the same model number then the true brew over ice is a single beverage option within the screen icons that you can select. This allow that one beverage to brew at a cooler temperature, yielding less ice cubes to 'ice' the beverage. Overall, resulting in a fuller flavour profile while not diluting the beverage with too many ice cubes. The machine turns off automatically after ~ 3 hr, so there is no way I can use the up to make any coffee before getting out of bed and going to turn the machine on, unless there is a way I am not aware of!!

But it doesn't even make COFFEE!!! I was so excited to purchase this $1500 machine...I almost spit my first cup out! It was not coffee but watered down espresso! The best part about this machine was going in the garage to retrieve my old coffee maker from the donate pile and make self a cup of coffee!

I also researched this machine BEFORE I bought it, and no one ever mentioned this issue...not only that just about every review was made by a person who got this $1500 for free SMH. So yes Einstein I read the "instructions" ...LMAO

@@elizabethvalentine3820 Hi, have you tried to change the grinder setting to a more fine tune (just 2-3), AND changing it while it is actually grinding? (It has tobe done while the machine is actually grinding) Then it takes approx 3 cups before you will notice any difference. TRy also to meassure the amount of water its using and change it to use less, making the drink stronger. Best of luck!

Impossible to make a coffee from bed, there is an auto-clean every time you turn on the machine, which means that you have to be present to put the cup under. That’s a misconception on that machine

Hi Patrick, Thanks for the comments and for clarifying. Ideally, yes you'll need to power on the machine and allow it to complete its rinse cycle. You can use the app to make beverages after that. Hi there, That is not common feedback we get on the units. It is also not what I have experienced using the machine. I would suggest removing the app from your smart phone and redownloading it. You can also reach out to a DeLonghi tech support agent, they have top-of-the-line support and will walk you thru troubleshooting steps! Thanks!

Put wayyy too many beans in the hopper. DONT DO THAT! The beans age and will stick together causing the beans to get stuck. Beans should stay below grate.

its best not to use oily beans anyways. not saying you cant use em but itll reduce the lifespam of the grinder quite dramatically.

We are a medium family and make probably make 12 shots a day as people leave for work in the morning. It's not a problem filling the hopper. Beans turn over every two days or less.

Hey Chrys, Thanks for the comment. The bean hopper has a seal that will keep the beans fresh! You can top up the hopper without issue, or if you prefer you can put less in. What ever you prefer. The beans will stay fresh thanks to the aroma seal. Have a great day!
